Another Excuse To Be Fat

Yeah. That’s not what this thread is about. It is about the rationalization of eating large amounts of foods with healthy qualities as an excuse to be fat. You have hijacked this by taking a position that is so fucking obvious.
Uh huh. Thats why I’ve got dipshits saying “I can do what I want when I want!”

Wow dude. Try reading the thread and, then, with a straight face, ask "who’s going to argue that?

No, the people saying “I can do what I want when I want!” and “…so you think its GOOD to be fat???” are making jackasses of themselves. And you’re quickly joining them.

Yet here you are, posting because what I write bothers you. Why not just skip over it, genius??

Just as much as they have the right to say it, I’ve the right to refute it. It is, after all, the internet, and all that can be written will, or whatever you said.

It’s not your problem,
Neither is discrimination against gays or women or the handicapped or the homeless (I wont mention black people because that might offend some professors around here). Hiding behind the “not my problem” rationale is cowardice.

and you’re not helping anybody. If you really feel a need to right wrongs instead of all this being some “look at me!” response, your time would be much better spent doing some real action instead of arguing a nonsensical point on this forum.
So the point is (a)obvious, (b) inarguably right, and (c)nonsensical. I suppose saying “its wrong to shoplift” would also be nonsense, according to you?

I also like the “You just want attention!” argument… after… (AFTER) agreeing that my point is obviously right. U r smrt.

So you believe you have the right to actively disrespect a person because they are overweight?

I have the right to do what I want when I want and to think what I want when I want.

not to mention the right to free speech.

Yup. And the rest of the stuff in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Looked up that UDHR, there, buddy. Check it out:

Article 2.
Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status.

So, you’re, uh… not allowed to discriminate because of status (like ‘fat’ or ‘not fat’).

Article 3.
Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person.

“slapping food out of the hands of fat people” (as the original dipshit suggested) would be a violation of security of person, wouldn’t it?

Article 5.
No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.

Further supports my point.

Article 7.
All are equal before the law and are entitled without any discrimination to equal protection of the law. All are entitled to equal protection against any discrimination in violation of this Declaration and against any incitement to such discrimination.

Wow I’m really glad you brought this up as defense of discriminating against fat people.

Article 30.
Nothing in this Declaration may be interpreted as implying for any State, group or person any right to engage in any activity or to perform any act aimed at the destruction of any of the rights and freedoms set forth herein.

hahahaha. There goes your “Well the Universal Declaration of Human Rights says I have free speech, so I can say whatever I want! weeee!” idiocy.

Seriously, why are you so bent on being against the idea that you shouldn’t be a prick to fat people?

This thread needs Marzia.

Needs more.

Still more.

assault would be illegal yes.

but calling a fat guy a fat guy isn’t unless you don’t give him a job because of it.

I never said “You cant say a fat person is fat” or “You cant ever call a fat person fat”

However, doing something like walking up to a co-worker (or hell, even a complete stranger) and yelling “You’re fucking fat!!” would be wrong (and possibly grounds for pressing harassment charges).

I’m just blown away at the justification people make for being unkind to other people.

I’ve always been of the feeling that respect is given (not “earned”)…and is mine to lose.

And its always been ironic to me that those screaming “respect is EARNED” the loudest KNOW damn well that they have no intention of giving the object of their disdain ANY respect, regardless as to WHAT they do.

I began this thread NOT as an attack on the obese; but as an attack on those that justify eating poorly because of some limited study or finding…and that includes a LOT of thin people…

So you think it would be right, then?

Wow, you are really taking controversial positions here. LOL.

Do you always make banal points so that you can later claim: “My arguments are so phat, no one can touch them.”

In any event, how “fat” are we talking about here? If you’re so fat that can’t get out of bed, then you don’t deserve any respect. If you’re just 50 or 100 pounds overweight, then that’s something else entirely.
