Anna's Training Log Part 2 (Part 1)

As a general rule it would behove you to put cardio at the end, with weights done first.

Glad to hear recovery is improving

Couldn’t have said it better myself

I have the luxury of having a consistent location with consistent lighting

If I had it my way, I’d eat a diet exclusively comprised of mushrooms spinach salmon and offal

Unfortunately, a crew team +rotc lifting means no weights available

Honestly, I think you have too many things going at once, and some of them seem diametrically opposed, especially given your issues with nutrition. If I were you, I would try to stop all of these things you call “conditioning”. Do absolutely zero of it, for a while. I don’t think it is doing what you think it is doing. Keep everything else the same. Profit.

At this point, the cardio stuff is for my own sanity. I really enjoy getting my heart rate up and sheiko isn’t doing that

Care to explain? What do you mean by your sanity? Having discipline also means doing what you DON’T want to do. Your control over things has you paradoxically out of control. Do you want to achieve your goals or not?

not tryna be sexist or out here, but i genuinly feel , if this was a bloke ignoring advice, going round in circles , repeating the same questions , the log would die a bitter death, with 0 replies, but i still see this log constantly at the top of my feed!

I think you can change your notification settings so I don’t cause you any more frustration and inconvenience

You are probably right, but Anna is active in general, so that probably makes is a bit different.

I am thinking of a parallel of something I read, and it must have been Wendler. He says stuff like “if you are adding all kinds of this and that to this program, then you are not doing this program. You’re doing your own program, don’t come crying when it fails.”

I don’t know shit about Sheiko, but unless it calls for a shitload of pointless conditioning and undereating…then you aren’t doing Sheiko.

Well, read the log and you’ll see that she’s making clear, if slow, improvement. And asking genuine questions. The round in cirlce logs that do die are normally where they don’t ask questions and just whine, and ignore the advice that follows.

You could always just, ya know, not read it.

It would also be fair to say that, for her bodyweight, Anna is strong as a motherfucker. She’d be even stronger if she’d pull her head out.

Aren’t you suppose to be gaining fat? I thought that’s what the doctors told you.

It makes me feel really good- a leftover from when I ran and did CrossFit idk if I can give it up completely

Yeah, but fat gain is pretty much inevitable when putting on size so I don’t feel the need to intentionally chase fat gain

Then don’t give it up completely. Eat a shitload more. 2000 ain’t going to do it, in large part because I would bet one of my kidneys that you overestimate your intake by at least 10%, and probably more like 20%.

You have to give in on something, somewhere, and by indications you need to give on in whichever thing will most likely lead to you putting on weight. Given your other goals, that means either dropping the conditioning, or eating waaaaaaaay more food.

True, assuming you’re gaining weight at a reasonably quick rate.

EDIT: The reason I quoted your original message was because you agreed that one of your goals is to “not get fatter”. This cannot be one of your goals. And I’m afraid it is truly your #1 goal and the reason for your under eating and over exercising.

I think it depends on the bloke and the way they conduct themselves. I can think of at least 1 male poster on the site who repeatedly ignores advice. Like @anna_5588 though, he’s rarely disrespectful and it’s clear that the reasons he’s not following the advice to the letter is a deep rooted psychological issue on his end.

Personally, I can see progress in this log and I check it nearly daily. I rarely comment anymore because I have very little to add to the conversation. For what it’s worth though, I think @Pinkylifting, with a few assist here and there, has been incredible at helping Anna slowly make some of the changes she needs.

I really look forward to the day that Anna pulls here 4 x bodyweight deadlift at 50kg, with a fully functioning endocrine system and I think Pinky is giving her the best shot a non-professional can at getting there.
