I sure would like to see some non-veg/fruit carbs come into play.
I actually eat oatmeal and bars(nugo and cliff) so my diet definitely not low sugar ![]()
Okay, good. REGULARLY, though?
And where’s the rice? I understood you to be Asian. I eat my rice, and I come from potato people, so there aren’t even any expectations of me.
Every day( they’re included in my meal plan)- I don’t like rice. When I’m in Shanghai, my diet is much “ cleaner”
“Cleaner” = free of healthy carbs?
Cleaner as in free of sugar and processed foods in general
Oh. But the healthy carbs are still there? ~SIDE EYE~
My parents make me eat bread at breakfast and rice at dinner. I have 2 slices of oat flour bread( wheat makes me gassy) at breakfast and 3/4cup of black rice at dinner.
I’ve actually found that although I enjoy higher fats, I feel much better on higher carbs- stupid Asian genes ![]()
This whole thread is like watching Groundhog’s Day, only instead of hilarious Bill Murray, it is just one long never-ending train wreck.
Me too. In fact I’d like to see a breakdown of the actual foods being eaten. There might be some easy wins here.
@anna_5588, since you track food everyday, can I persuade you to throw a few days of recent food up on here?
Yesterday:
meal 1:7oz chicken(meal prepped)+big bowl of mushrooms( salad on meal plan)
Meal 2: nugo bar and rx bar ( we have “flex dollars” on meal plan to buy these)
Meal 3: 1 can of mushrooms+ huge pile of spinach ( meal plan salad) cooked in 1tbsp butter+1/2 cup oats cooked with 1/2tbsp butter and 1 cup soy milk
Night snack: 3 bananas ( “side” from meal block)+ chia pudding (3tbsp seeds+1 cup soy milk)
Cmu doesn’t have an all you can eat dining hall ![]()
This comes out to around 1800 NOT counting veggies ( butter counted)
You’ve just reminded me I’ve got to meal plan for next week. Be right back.
So you don’t do dairy, bread, or rice?
What about eggs, potatoes, pasta, nuts … lots of dense foods you could add. All of which taste way better than mushrooms and spinach.
So basically you ate maybe 500 decent calories and 1300 useless carlories. Anybody else reading it that way?
I agree to disagree- I genuinely love veggies
Yeah, my diet is pretty full of processed crap right now ![]()
Next semester, I’ll be buying and prepping my own food so I’ll be eating a lot healthier
You ignored the important part of my post.
If there is a next semester ![]()
Although, I wouldn’t exactly say my oats and chia pudding are unhealthy nor are bananas- at least I’m getting my veggies and fruits in
The soy milk is unsweetened and has 8g protein
