Academic Wins:
- Department held its diploma ceremony today and I got to say goodbye to professors. They were all super proud of me. Department head said I was the “star student”
- I ended up with an A in linear algebra. Keep in mind I literally failed the second midterm
- Project with new advisor is getting off the ground! We had a very productive meeting and have a really really really interesting direction that is coincidentally connected to both the work I did over the summer and the stuff my friend (that one) is interested in… go figure
- My econ friends really do see me as one of them. They invited me their reception thing to say goodbye to my favourite professor and really made an effort to include me even though I’m not in the programme. “honorary econ maths”
So wholesome.
Random personal rant:
I made cookies with my friend (that one)'s girlfriend. The more she talked, the more glad I am that I have a purely academic relationship with him. At the end of the day, all I wanted was his respect and I seem to have it.

Research update: Turns out I did my analyses wrong and my thesis project does have positive results! adivisor(s) and I are going to revise and hopefully we can publish and some point. At the very least, I’ll probably get to present at conference
