Have you seen what really, really good squatters and deadlifters look like? Or listened to Wendler/Tate/Dizenzo/Rhodes talk about what life was like when they were at their “peak”?

I love the tabletalks with those guys. I’m not sure I learn anything except “don’t be a 300lbs powerlifter, it sucks”, but I makes me laugh.

HOWEVER, they’re much different from me. Most of the top females near my height/weight are quite lean

most actually weigh in under 47

and are on roids and all bunch of other stuff

I’ll give you this though: They’re also probably not eating pancakes for breakfast :lol:

Well yes. Because you are quite lean, so anyone of a similar height and weight will also be quite lean. They aren’t the strongest though, they just get more attention than the strongest females because they look better in yoga pants.

Week 2: Day 2

Bench: 1x5-30,35, 40; 1x3-45,50, 1x5-55; 3x15, 1x5-40kg
Db rows: 6x10/side-25lbs
Close grip incline: 3x(10-30kg+10 lateral raises-10 lb DBs)
powercleans: 4x10-40kg

  • legs pretty disfunctional LOL, moving 1/2 speed but bench went quite well- happy w/ the BBB sets

Week 2: Day 3
50min weighted walk-30lbs in pack

  • punch the clock workout, I actually spent 10 min outside in only base layers. Never thought this was possible

During the weigh-in before a meet or every day? What do they weigh during their off-season when the cameras aren’t on?

No idea , but the recommendations say not tk get above 10%

Week 2: day 4

Press: 1x5-20,25,30; 2x3-35, 1x5-40-PR!!; 2x15, 2x10-25
Dead bugs: 5x 10/side
Btn press: 3x(8-20+4curls-45lbs ez bar)
Close grip incline: 2x5
Seated row: 1x(6-70lbs+8-55+10-40+12-25)
Conditioning: 8x(3push press-35kg+4 alternating db cleans-45lb db+5 burpees)- every 2min

  • felt amazing, really pushed this and was in and out, happy w/PR

Updates:

  • I meet my senior thesis advisor on Friday. She was a PhD student of Gneezy and is a phenomenal human. I can’t wait…
  • I’m “taking” a course on info economics. The material is perfectly aligned with my interests and even though it’s a PhD course, the prof goes “super slow” aka the perfect speed for me. I just emailed him asking if I could sit in and he said yes.
  • I really regret wasting time taking those two history classes…
  • this weekend is going tk be awesome: Friday is the advisor meeting, hanging out with “my team” and baking with a sorority sister, Saturday is my meeting with discord dude and CNY dumplings wjth another sorority sister and her friends, Sunday I’m meeting a discord friend to look over an Econ paper. Also Econ friend is out of quarantine so I’ll get to laugh at his attempts at working out :joy:

If it’s body weight 10% is still a gain of 4.7 kg (10 lbs )

Oh yeah, I don’t think I updated about my meeting with the nitpicky advisor (yes, I have three research advisors :laughing:)

He isn’t giving up on the project. Even after I graduate, he’d still work with me on it.
Publication isn’t likely for now but he says that it’s publishable content and could eventually get published.

We had a great conversation about grad school stuff. This is really great of him bc he had no obligation to actually be my advisor in the first place. I was just a random undergrad interested in face stuff.
