@anna_5588 - I legit read the book, cover to cover (yes, including all of the templates), 3 times on vacation before I returned home to start the new programming.
I also adopted JW’s principles wholeheartedly: you can pick and choose his templates, mix-and-match to your heart’s content, but you’re either all in or not in it at all with his principles.
Edit: Now caught up on the thread, and I see what Pwn said:
Surpriiiise. Intelectualization is actually an immature defense mechanism.
Actively struggling against bias, relying on heuristics,
Making dumb decisions and owning the consequences of your actions - these are all part of maturing.
You will make dumb decisions based on emotions. Bad ones at that. Because yes, at the end of the day, emotions deceive and betray. But man up to the consequences of your actions. That is a choice that for me is more respectable. And hopefully, as you mature, you make less of these bad decisions.
Sorry, I’m telling this more to myself because I recently made a bad decision based on emotion. Now I have to face the consequences.

felt good going in, warmups heavier than expected but very happy that I hit 125kg unpeaked AND without bumper plates, rest of it was good, took it easy on conditioning and actually don’t feel too crap! @hustlinghat93
Update:
A guy on Discord I’ve been talking to and somewhat giving business advice (2-3 hrs every friday) for might hire me to write study guides. He’s also offered to pay for my studies if his business succeeds. Even if this offer doesn’t go through I’m very flattered
Starting with jumps before lower body compounds always lets me know how well the workout is going to go. The explosiveness of the jumps is a very good indicator!
3rd. THe coming week is technically a deload, but most ppl run 2 cycles back to back before deloading on the 7th week. I think I’ll do that, especially since there’s a risk of the gym shutting down temporarily at some point in the next month due to COVID
It works like a charm. I think that might be contributing to how nice my deadlifts have felt on BBB
to be fair, I feel like I’ve gotten much more out of him than he’s getting out of me. I genuinely enjoy discussing stuff like this. Mum is in the industry and it’s nice to have someone talk to me about these things.
Apparently I’ve been extremely helpful for him too and he’s shown me pages and pages of notes he’s taken from our conversations. This partially explains why I’m not optimistic about the business… There’s no reason he should be taking me so seriously
He’s also given me great advice on grad school stuff and general life advice (dude has phd from MIT)
