I too am interested in seeing lunges that are nearly equal to your back squat. And possibly your back squat too. Something seems odd here to me.
Well, my knees touch the ground on every rep so I’m hitting depth ![]()
Wow, I can’t even imagine doing lunges with 50% of my squat
It just strikes me as odd to be able to lunge nearly as much as you squat.

Week 4: Day 3
Deadlift: 1x4-60, 70; 2x3-80,90; 3x2-95kg
Bench Press: 1x10-30kg, 1x8-35, 1x6-40, 1x4-45, 4x2-50
- really bad stomach cramping going in but muscles fine, deadlifts felt better than expected- heavy, but strong (would have been awesome if stomach issues didn’t drain me), bench felt fine- actually felt better at this point but mentally out of it.
@liftangryordie500 I don’t know how you do it…
Week 4: Day 4
For time: pistol squats-50 down by 10 w/5 reps bench-40kg btw sets
(I skipped out on a 4x4 yesterday, so I’m making it up)
4x(12 DB rows/arm-32.5lbs, 15 HSPU)- EMOM
Technique: HS walk
- didn’t sleep well so a bit tired, legs not actually dead- just tired and felt like I was moving through syrup. Bench pistol workout not bad- felt good and quick, not too intense and quicker than expected, EMOM pumped upper back- felt good
I remember reading an article a while back, I think it was on this site, that actually said you should be able to do lunges with half of your squat max. I can just imagine Vlad Alhazov lunging 575.
I guess it matters how big your squat is. Mine is weak to begin with, so it’s a lot easier for me
You’re kidding, ha? 2xBW. (I should squat 130 kg at least in your opinion)
Relative strength is overrated imo ![]()
As someone who’s lifts are weak compared to my BW (and everyone else), I’m inclined to agree with you here out of pure selfishness ![]()
Very interesed to see what constitutes a ‘deload’ in your world ha
3,000 lunges, a bike ride through 2 cities, 3 hours of burpees
That light compared to what im expecting. Im envisaging that lack of lifting meaning triple conditioning sessions every day.
LOL
you guys WAYYY overestimate my mental and time capacity and time. I’ll definitely be doing conditioning, but it’ll be 1 hour in the mornings tops- I’ll be with my mom all day.
Although, I’ll definitely be having some fun on sunday
1 hour of conditioning = deload. Hmmmmm
That’s like a 79% reduction from her normal conditioning though ![]()
you guys give me way too much credit- I’ve cut out conditioning on lifting days (I only did 10-15min anyways
)
