Not sure. I tested it and I saw the notification when I wasn’t even logged in. I reset my password on my main browser and X’d out the others, had no problem.

Week 6: Day 2

Safety squat Bar: 5x5-145lbs, 5x2-165lbs, 5x1-175lbs
5x(10 tricep pushdowns+10 face pulls)-22lbs
2 mile run

  • Felt a bit tired going in, Finished program so decided to take the opportunity to play with some new equipment. @Bagsy it’s so much harder!,
  • nice to get a nice pump with face pulls and pushdowns
  • run fun- LOVE the heat

Updates: @cyclonengineer @rroo @flappinit @vision1

  • I’m planning on taking a “deload” for this week and next- pretty much playing around with the cool equipment while I can. I’m moving back to the house on 7/3 and don’t have the BB set up at home yet so starting a program only to get interrupted after a week isn’t ideal
  • Speaking of programs, I’m planning to do Candito’s 9 week squat program. I need something for deadlift and press. I’ll only have access to 225lbs ( total- bar and plates), a 25lbs KB, 45lb KB and 2 20 lb adjustable DBs. Any suggestions?
  • Note: I can deadlift 225 for 6

Ramp it up to 10-12 reps over time!?

Shorter rest periods, more reps. I don’t believe 225 max available BB weight will be a limiting factor for you.

It’s not limiting. I need a program. Canditos squat program doesn’t give guidance on how to program deadlifts and presses

I would skip the deadlift and just focus on getting the squat strong. For hamstring additional work do sumo RDLs with KBs.

For pressing, I have no clue. I don’t overhead press very often.

Good idea. I think I might skip regular sumo deads this “cycle” (9weeks) and do rdls and light conventionals. I was thinking of using a double progression. 3x6, 3x7 next workout, 3x8 after that then adding 10lbs and repeating

RE: trip
I told her about this and her first reaction was “will there be boys there” I told her that there would be “boys” and she got very hesitant- as if I’m going to get raped or something :face_with_symbols_over_mouth: I’m 20! And a couple of my friends (who she knows well) LIVE with their boyfriends or rent apartments with male classmates

Not that I intend for this to contradict your mom’s wishes, but technically, you go to school here currently, and have actually lived here independently already.

What would be any different between then and now?

The difference is apparently that I’d be staying in a house with classmates and not a school dorm or apartment
“there’d be guys”…

Well…

Parents house, rent-a-house, one of those dump holes down Atwood by the Indian buffet?Lots of different types of houses.

Yeah, well, honestly, from a wolf in wolf’s clothing to a tender little lamb- Guys, especially around 20 years old, are basically trash pandas programmed for titties and beer.

So, especially in an unsupervised environment, it would be very wise to look back at that safety advice you asked about before leaving the nest last time.

The ones I know are practically asexual (stereotypical computer geeks) :joy:
I swear, the college guys I know are so different than what I expected. A couple of them were bragging about their freaking Skincare routines  they know more about skincare than I do lol

Also my little bro likes watching animes about girl bands and it’s NOT for the ass and titties

Plus, I’m stronger than all of them…

I only speak badly and warn strongly due to self knowledge. Not every guy was like me at 20. I was a fair bit different than the majority of kids you’ll be hanging around.

So I’ll assume that this is not a parents house out in the suburbs.

Just Be Careful.

Go to a kegger hosted by the jock frat. Just kidding, but if you did, you’d meet all the college guys you’ve heard about. My girlfriend out of high school went to Tulane in New Orleans and made it a point to never go anywhere without a group of friends. One night someone slipped something in her drink (started passing out after sipping a drink, 20 minutes after arriving), and her friends got her out of there and home.

With college-related sexual assaults, the fault is NEVER with the victim, but potential targets can absolutely make themselves into harder (or easier) targets.

100 Agree with this. IT IS NEVER THE VICTIMS FAULT but sometimes the victims actions/ lack of precautions makes them much easier and much likelier for things to happen.

@anna_5588 Some of the worst ‘men’ i bet in Uni were the geeky guys. The thing with these ‘geek nerd types’ is while most are harmless and super nice some are sexually frustrated predators who are into titties and that life but dont really get the interest from women so who pretend to be harmless until they get an opportunity. Just be careful and never take men from 19-26ish at face value. We are not the best of our species at that age

Go on the trip, have fun, keep an eye out though. As @hustlinghat93 said, some times the nicest guys have the worst opinions. I hear a lot of it myself when these guys kind of guys think the coast is clear.
