That’s the concern. FS forces me to use lower weight so my legs aren’t getting as much work in
Thanks! Your log is very inspiring
It’s just very hard for me to keep up with ![]()
I can barely get through the wee bit of work I’m doing now- much less hundreds of burpees a day
You are doing 20 + sets a day already (all lower body some days). this is not a “wee bit” of work…
No way I would add burpees to this
Not without eating the way @ChongLordUno is putting away the food
I don’t usually do 20 sets in my workouts and I am eating 3600 calories a day or more and am still hungry but making decent progress. How you and @ChongLordUno put away food is impressive.
Honestly, it’s great that the results were not severe. Having that data is good. But women’s hormones fluctuate so much over a month (probably less so in those with amenorrhea but hard to say) that it’s not uncommon to have fairly normal results even if something is out of whack.
I’m glad Anna has taken some steps to gain weight and seek professional help, but she still does not have a period (as far as I know). She doesn’t need a hormone test to know something is wrong. I doubt Anna will reverse that unless she changes her priority. If anything, she’ll use those test results to further justify her approach, as if nothing is wrong.
Unfortunately I believe you are correct.
I wish @anna_5588 would greatly decrease her volume and I think she would see greater strength gain/better muscle definition more than just doing more work.
@cyclonengineer I’m basically following Candito’s program to a T, I’ve just replaced the “optional exercises” with daily work and short (4-8min) “metcon” style workouts
Week 3: Day 3 (yesterday)
Squat: 3x6-155lbs
Deadlift: 2x6-195lbs
GIant set: press- row swing
3x(6press-75lbs+6rows-75lbs+20 alt 1 arm swings-25lbs), had to push press last rep of last set
1x(6press-70lbs+6rows-70lbs+20 alt 1 arm swings-25lbs)
Conditioning: 10 to 1, burpees+ goblet squat-45lbs
- felt a bit stiff going in but everything smoothed out after warmup. squats moved VERY well, really happy w/ progression at this rate, I’ll be doing sets of 6 w/ 98% of my old 1rm by week 6, deads heavier than expected but moved relatively well, disappointed at press
Week 3: Day 4
4.5 miles on eliptical- went at an easy/moderate pace, played around with resistance to keep things interesting
- felt good and got HR up, will make up daily work tomorrow
You stopped chasing your daily steps goal?
Still doesn’t mean it’s the right amount of volume for you. Especially if nutrition is crappy.
Week 3: Day 5:
1 burpee+ 1 kb clean/side-45lbs to 5 burpee+5 clean/side-45lbs back down to 1 burpee+1kb clean/side-45lbs
2min rest
1 2-pump burpee+2 kb squat-45lbs to 5 2- pump burpees+10 kb squat-45lbs back down to 1 2-pump burpees+2 kb squat-45lbs
2min rest
1 3-pump burpee+2 kb swings-45lbs to 5 3- pump burpees+10 kb swings-45lbs back down to 1 3-pump burpees+2 kb swings-45lbs
(Done in the PM)
5x(10kb row/side-25lbs+20sec rest)
10x(40sec plank+20sec rest)
4x(5 kb snatch+20 alt 1 arm kbs)-switch arms on kb snatch each round
- @ChongLordUno this one’s for you. my HR didn’t go too high but this really sucked, had to take breaks between reps b/c getting lightheaded, planned to do a 4th round with double burpees and KB lunges but almost passed out after the third round. Came back in the PM to finish up the work- still sucked bad and harder than expected
Update:
Found a research advisor for my project next semester. He’s great! I sent him my idea and he shot down the IDEA, not my grammar typos. Also got back to me in 2 hours, not two weeks
Sounds utterly brutal @anna_5588 my dear.
Burpees will set you free
The burpees were the easy part- just felt like I was moving at half speed and very lightheaded for no reason
It was fun though, very fun
You shouldn’t be getting light headed during these sessions if you have the correct fuel in the tank
However going by comments I’m assuming that’s an issue? If not then apologies
I’ve been eating quite a bit lately and this is the first time it’s happened… should be fine though
Good man. Keep it up and let’s navigate the dark place with blood, sweat and toil
Epic wordage!
Everything you do is of epic proportions
Cheers @Edgy my brother who has been steeped in the ways of the ginger
I’m spurred on by your kind words
Worst T-Shirt ever.
There is always a reason.
People are a lot like internal combustion engines.
Its either air, fuel, or spark.
