Anna's Training Log Part 2 (Part 1)

no- I’d eat the same amount. I’d just get more enjoyment

Dicks.

It’s a dick joke.

so does this

mean I inadvertantly make dick jokes in my log all the time :astonished:

I don’t believe that for a second.
Not more enjoyment than eating regular sized bites until your hunger was satisfied.
1 protein bar in 2 hours would have basically no flavour, assuming you’re consistently pecking away.

Not all the time.

I mean…not just dick jokes. To be fair, all you have to do is leave me a little crack, and I can take full advantage.

See, I just did it right there.

Yup.

This convo spiraled from me posting my nutritional approach in my log. I’ll eat something every hour, but that’s the thing: I eat SOMETHING every hour. I don’t have a bite of a protein bar: I have a protein bar.

Do you find this approach to get you big, strong and lean?

I wasn’t claiming to be following your approach. I was saying that I personally feel that putting stuff in my mouth more frequently is more enjoyable for me

Fully understood: I’m highlighting the differences between our approaches.

So far so good!

Week 6: day1 (Monday)

2x(4/side,4/side, 6/side)-32lbs, w/intensity modifier

  • nothing special

Week 6:day2 (yesterday)

10x(2min kickboxing+30sec rest)
20x(20sec rows/side+30sec plank+40sec rest)

  • been a while since I’ve done kickboxing, felt good

My stint of looking good is over :sob: it’s back to being backed up and fluffy. Weighed myself this morning- 103.4 :scream: which means that I’ve continued to put on weight despite eating the same. @aldebaran at least you know why you’re gaining weight
I really do not like the program and am glad it’s almost over

Note: 103.4 could be a fluctuation, but it’s a new high. Previously a “high” weigh in would be 101, then 101.6-7, then 102, then 102.6 and now 103.4. I’m not truly convinced it’s fat gain because I looked fine just 3 days ago, but my body seems to do that. I’d put on weight suddenly and it doesn’t come off (ie it’s tissue).

@Voxel Could it be water retention or inflammation? I’ve been eating yoghurt (not yesterday though) and yesterday I had a microwave protein muffin that’s wheat based. Humidity and heat is also rising and I was thinking that maybe there could be some water retention from that?
Note: I’m just trying to find any way possible to convince myself that I haven’t put on dat. I don’t need more ammunition to fuel my confirmation bias

Even worse, covid rising in US means that China won’t let my mum and brother back until JUNE :sob::sob: and my mum is paranoid about me getting attacked (Asian hate stuff) so is reneging on letting me go back to school in summer。every time there’s some hope. Some small groups of idiots/criminals screws it up. FUCK THIS :face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Just saw this: idk how much more I can handle

Continued PWI rant:

People who attack others are CRIMINALS and should be treated as such.
It doesn’t mater what race, gender, sexuality, nationality… criminals are criminals

Weighing yourself gives you so much stress: why do you do it?

To keep tabs. I don’t do it often- once every 1-2 weeks to check in

Why do you need to keep tabs on your bodyweight?

To see where I’m at. How I think I look can vary and I’m prone to get adjusted to how I look and not see differences. The scale is more objective

And again: why do you need to do that?

I am asking this as someone that does not weigh themselves. I see no benefit for you and tons of detriment.

I prefer an unhappy certainty to uncertainty

Doing the things you prefer has constantly resulted in disappointment for you.

Kicking a bag? Must be some serious conditioning!

Could it be related? You know that stress has a major influence on water retention and all. Stress from not liking a program, from the actual situation that is clearly putting you in a bad mood ahahah

You can’t gain 3 pounds of fat magically. Sometimes we hold fluff for a while. But yeah, at your weight, I would have imagined weight fluctuations to be little.

Honestly I have to agree with @T3hPwnisher there… (dreamt of you this night lol I spend too much time in here)
Weight really is a volatile thing, you shouldn’t worry over it. Last summer I lost almost 5 lbs in a single night, that I never gained back. Was it fat? I don’t think so. Does it matter as long as I feel/look good? Nooooo
