Anna's Training Log Part 2 (Part 1)

The reason my log is titled “10 Miles back again” is a quote from Paul Carter (or whoever he stole it from) on the idea that if you walk 10 miles into the woods, you have to walk 10 miles back again to get out of the woods.

Is this why?

THOSE DAMN STAIRS :joy:

Your body needed more weight on it, it takes time to stabilise after being very (and unsustainably) lean. Keep doing what you’re doing and youll look better than ever.

Can you (or any other of the math people in here) solve this?

The answer is 29 I believe.

Stats is next semester… need to survive diff eq first :joy:
Edit:
Median is 22 so mean temp is 22-.525= 21.475
Sample mean is the total number of chirps/ number of samples = 684/20 = 34.2

Plug those in for x and y in the regression equation to solve for b, then plug in 19 for x to solve for y

Given enough time probably. It’s not a trivial question and involves a number of steps across mathematical disciplines.

All the maths you need for it is taught at GCSE level in England (around age 16), it’s just the wording that makes it difficult.

Week 12: day3
Press: (1/side-25lbs+1 swing-45lbs…+10/side+10 swings), 3x(1/side+1swing…5/side+5swings)

  • short on time so did some “volume work”, also, 100 is just a nice number. A lot harder than expected, but felt pretty good considering, need to be more careful about form on the kbs because me low back is a bit pissed now

I was really tired yesterday and not feeling great mentally so I gave into the pb and ended up eating 800kcal over my allotment

Week 12: Day 4- easy day
75min weighted walk

  • parents out of house, digestion not feeling up to doing my usual fun Friday

You should have a minimum requirement in place of a max allowment.

@cyclonengineer @Voxel

I’ve been feeling very defeated and inadequate. School is meh. Fitness is meh. I thought I could at least be somewhat proud about my research stuff and my relationship with my professors, but turns out I’m behind on that too. My friend is a TA for a class and one of his professors INVITED him to TA in another one next semester. Meanwhile, my project has stalled and I haven’t been getting any assignments as an RA.

I guess I’ve just gotten complacent :sleepy:

I don’t feel equipped to help you. Sorry you feel this way. Sorry you view it as complacency and not reasonable given the context in which you are operating.

Seek therapy.

I second @Voxel.

With regards to the research at least, talk to your professors and see if they have a timeline for you. If they didn’t lay one out in the first place, they have not set expectations and one can’t meet nonexistent terms.

I wasn’t aware other people’s accomplishments negate what you can be proud of

That sounds like the battle cry of someone who is about to put themself through a real wringer.

RDL: 3x6/side

  • legs DEAD, but felt good and not as bad as expected, balance really got hard at the end. Wanted to do more RDLs… did NOT happen…

Have I shared this with you?
