Sure, I don’t have great genetics, I have no knees left, but it took me like 5 years, as a grown man, to reach a 2X BW squat. Take that as you want :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve genuinely never seen @anna_5588 say a positive thing about herself. It’s very possible to have happened, but I haven’t personally observed it.

Haha! I’ve posted some nice things in the “Happy” thread
My thing is that while I look impressive on paper, I’m definitely not making the most of what I have going for me, but at the same time, I continually fail to mitigate the problem
For example: Work and the research project completely winded down yesterday giving me the entire day off. I could have spent some time getting ready for my linear algebra course that starts Monday, work on the investment project I had planned to do or writing, but instead, I spent the day watching movies

This is not abnormal or sub-optimal behavior. People need time off.

The standards you compare yourself against set you up for failure. You can certainly live however you want to live, but I have found life far more enjoyable when I celebrate my successes vs lament my failures.

Officially, I relax after 8 and on weekends. In reality, I spend too much time doing unproductive shit. The insidious creep of entertainment into what should be productive time is concerning and the start of mental justification scares me. Just like when a person trying to loose weight justifies a “small snack” and the next thing you know, they’re eating 5 cookies a day because they “deserve it”

I should probably try doing that

For fuck’s sake Anna, you’re 19! Enjoy life! Spent time with people you like, enjoy the downtimes, explore stuff, do dumb shit and party!
Those constraints you like to force on yourself will come naturally quick enough

How should I train myself to deal with them then? There’s nothing I hate more than being “surprised by unpleasant changes. I guess it’s the same mentality behind why it’s so hard for me to make changes to my training and nutrition

Press: 1x15, 1x(11+12 lever push-ups/side+24plank hip drops+150jumping jacks)
Rows: 3x(5rows/side-45lbs+10/side+150jumping jacks)

  • back on it! Digestion still off from last night’s cheat, press really worked shoulders- happy with 15,but 4x11 on giant sets was NOT happening, couldn’t be bothered to do real conditioning

@dagill2 As much as I hate to admit it, I think the stressful part about Brian’s programming is having to do conditioning either before the prospect of pushing HR again during giant sets or having to push it after
