That is a fair point. I think the individual desiring help for the condition separates the two. I think it would be irresponsible for a professional to diagnose a person who hasn’t consented to treatment with depression.

So what you wrote about Kinsey and the article you posted do not agree.
This does not qualify the guy as a child molester. He was studying human sex. It is immoral to do studies on children (what you said he did further up), so what he did was read the diary of a prolific child molester for information. That does not make him a pedophile or child molester.

You may be correct about him not doing the right thing in regard to turning in a child molester. However, this doesn’t mean he was a child molester, and it doesn’t mean his work is irrelevant.
The FBI for example has used the genius of serial killer Ed Kemper to track and find other serial killers. Should that be disregarded because the guy was a bad dude?
Do we know if he was involved? This is years after the fact. The guy had been dead for over 20 years at that point.

No, his work is irrelevant, and there are numerous stories as to what actually happened. Did he pay pedophiles to record their molestations? That article I quoted mentions him getting them to use a stop watch. He was also accused of getting most of his info from one pedo and attributing it to multiple sources. For all you know, he was doing it himself.
