I can see how this is alarming, but like I said. These things level out. It takes more time than what you’re willing to to allow. You said it yourself, you take an AI and then things work. It was going to start working on its own anyway, but you dont want to wait. Growing tits? Taking an AI doesnt necessarily help in this area. Bitchy? Come on. Get a grip. We can all get bitchy at times or too often when hormones are in flux. Anyway, I have the solution. Stop taking an AI and give it time. But I already know thats too much to ask for. I honestly dont know how I managed to power through, but I did, and now all I take is plenty of T, HCG, and several beers during football games. No ill effects of running higher E due to the fact that my body knows whah to do with it. Manually correcting those values are why TRT doesnt work out for some. Anyway, that’s all from me. Keep taking that stuff and the problems will never go away.
It binds both T and E. Not just T I bet if you had low SHBG you would be complaining about that. Stop looking at numbers and give it time. I run high Test and low SHBG. So… I guess I should be growing Tits with all that E running freely.
Your Doc is treating numbers. You dont need the AI. You had it prescribed because your Doc has this belief that higher than normal E is going to feminize you, he wants to control your E. You had no side effects other than the number on paper. If you give it time, those values stabilize. Yet this what most men dont grasp. Its impossible they think.
I said hormone fluctuations. It was not necessarily imbalance.
With my protocol, about 48 hours post injection, if I didn’t take anastrozole, I would have symptoms that I thought were caused by high E2, because that’s what I was told they were from. When I took the anastrozole, I didn’t get the symptoms. Someone suggested that I try eod injections, and let my body work through the symptoms, and it would work itself out without taking anastrozole. So, immediately upon switching to eod from twice a week, same weekly dose, I had no “high E2” symptoms. And I haven’t taken anastrozole since. Even after switching back to twice a week injections, I still don’t have any “high E2” symptoms.
So, as the person who helped me suggested, my injecting eod instead of twice a week, cut down the peaks and valleys, and allowed my body to adjust on its own. For 7 years I’d never allowed my body to adjust on its own, because I was taking an AI.
Do you have any scientific proof of this because aromatase is a real thing, i dont really see the logic in that. Apart from headaches etc you wouldnt want high estrogen levels because this increases risk of other sickness.
Oh lordy…
@middleages it binds to T stronger than E So if you are high SHBG and you run T at top of normal and you aramatase quite a lot then your free E2 can be running higher than free T in terms of whats helpful. I’m speaking generally.
Judging by the tones of your responses you could probably do with a bit- ![]()
I’m treating symptoms. I spent a year with no a.i and tried to manage without. I got high e2 symptoms. A small amount of a.i improved it dramatically for a while. Ultimately I spent a long time trying to not have itchy nips and a chest that was growing before I eventually decided to take it. Tamoxifen wasn’t stopping the growth in that year without an a.i. soon as I used anastrozole that stopped.
Recently I cant tolerate anastrazole sides hence my original question.
I’m not here to debate the use of one and didn’t ask that- however these types of threads always get derailed by anti a.i folk.
You say give it time- I tried a year without.
Just because you don’t need one doesnt mean everyone else is exactly the same physiologically
@roadie
If TRT is going to be lifelong for you why don’t you consider glandular surgary to mitigate what seems to be your only issue?
It wasn’t my only issue.
Bloat etc- water retention. Low mood. E.d.
All completely improved when I added a small amount of a.i in.
Yes, its because AI is very very helpful for alot of people on TRT, ignore anyone who says otherwise, they have been brainwashed by a certain anti-AI cult the last 2 years.
High e2 can for sure “grow tits” and make u very, VERY moody and emotional, like a woman. Every steroid user out there know this by experience, so do I.
Theres a distinct difference in my behaviour when I let my e2 run high vs low/moderate.
If u think about it, most of the highe2/anti-ai avocates on different forums are extremely emotional and fragile mentally, you know which one particular person im thinking about. Extremely argumentative, afraid to admit fault, just like women when they start their crazy nonsense.
Well getting back to your original issue/question then. I have found that aromison is much more tolerable/forgiving. You may want to try.
Cheers guys.
I think trying aromasin is a good shout.
What dose has a similair effect to 0.5mg of anaztrazole?
I would start around 10-12.5mg every 3 to 4 days and adjust from there. Report back if you try. Would be interested to see how you get on.
I have no emotional attachment to my posts. Its not like I started to use foul language and started to thow out insults. Lets agree to that. Anytime anyone decides to go this route and state something like this, its just a simple way to shut down the conversation, and I will gladly oblige. Please dont reply to this. Its just back and forth nonsense for the both of us. Cheers. Hope you get it all resolved.
That’s funny. My experience after stopping anastrozole has been completely the opposite of what you claim. On 200mg test, and .5mg anastrozole per week, my sensitive E2 was consistently in the low to mid 20’s when bloods were drawn at trough. On 200mg test and no ai, my sensitive E2 with bloods drawn at trough, has been as high as the low 80’s. And I feel better than I ever have on trt. After coming off anastrozole, I have a sense of well-being that I never had.
ye we all different
Do you happen to know your e2 level while on the different injection protocols? 2x per week with no AI, with the AI, and on EOD?
I think 1mg anastrozole is equal to (generally) 25mg aromasin
I know I would feel less-than ideal with my e2 that low, cos I’ve done it. But if it gets over about 60pg my mood and energy goes downhill. .25mg of anastrozole per week keeps me right around 45-50, which is perfect for me. Could I survive without it and say “my body figured it out?” Yeah maybe, but it’s so much better with just a little added in.
