Hey, Chris, do you read the Anabolic Insider? It’s a newsletter kinda thing that’s supposed to have steroid info, but actually it just pushes Impact Nutrition and their crappy/sleazy supplements. Anyway, they ran an article that looks a lot like one of the Short Topics posted here on T-mag by you and TC about grip training. You might want to check it out.
Yeah, someone showed me that already. The Impact guys must really like my writing style since they (or at least Ryan Evans) copied my article almost word for word. I’ve already contacted them about this and we’ll see what they have to say. I’ll keep you updated. I don’t know guys, should I be complimented or pissed?
Imitation isn’t the sincerest form of flattery–it’s a blatant rip off. So Chris, you should be pissed.
You should be pissed, but complimented that they have no originality of their own. It is plagirism and in violation of the Lanham act, consider legal recourse. Believe it or not I had the same issue with a major magazine and the editor of said magazine.
Both.
Chris, be pissed. As a writer/photographer, I have had my shit taken too many times, usually by 13 year olds who don’t know any better. But still … plagiarism, to me, is intellectual rape. Don’t let them get away with it. At the very least, instill as much fear into them as you can. Good luck!
Bust their asses!
I’ve been on the phone today with the Anabolic Insider people. This is getting weird. Details later.
Chris, I actually did put up on another post that they had copied an article(forearm training) from you guys, but that “newsletter” is so piss poor they hardly have any relevant info in it…unless you count the ads(which is the whole damn thing!)
I saw that the other day! I knew it sounded familiar but couldn’t place it. I’d be pissed.
Anabolic Insider? Aren’t those the same sleaze balls that used to be part of SoCal? I thought I recognized one of them in the picture in their ad.
