nope, i eat as much broccoli - up to a pound a day - and cabbage, as slaw, as i want

what kind of cardio are you doing atm?

well i was doing 30 mins LISS every morning on the elliptical but i stopped bc my T3 levels came back still too low so now that my presciption is getting bumped up again im gonna start monday morning

for whatever reason though, i do fine with HIIT PWO as long as i keep it ~10 minutes

i like using the bike, 15 seconds all out, 45 seconds moderate pace and occasionally throw in a 30 second sprint if my heart rate isnt hitting high enough

I was doing liss cardio in the evenings after my morning workout but I’ve been experimenting with jogging lately and i feel leaner do liss cardio everyday as opposed jogging 3x week

Does anyone have trouble sleeping on the carb-up weekends? It’s 0430 Monday morning, And I’ve been up for hours. The same thing happened to me Saturday night, tired and asleep by 10pm, awake 2-3am and unable to sleep.

I’d put it down to summer approaching, but it’s still low 20’s (Celsius) at night

happens to me when i end up stuffing myself before laying down but other than that, not really a problem

I guess I’ll just need more time on the diet to adjust effectively.

Thanks!

that is kind of odd actually. carb ups seem to have sedentary effects with a lot of people

Well I was definitely drowsy by 9pm, and asleep by 10, but only asleep for 4-5 hours

Edit: For consideration, it wasn’t a totally clean carb up. I’ll experiment next weekend with cleaner carbs and see how that affects me

I am such a fat ass… I totally relapsed on AD… For about 5-6 weeks my diet has been shit and working out has been sparadic & un organized… Starting Mon Im getting back on AD & the 5-3-1 program… When starting AD back up after my 12 day induction @ 18xBW can I start the cutting phase on week 3, or is it best to wait a full 4 weeks before cutting?
Just trying to drop some fat/lbs & get my strength back

ok so i dont really think i would recommend skipping a carb up.

energy was fine until monday of the second week. then i noticed i was standing around more during workouts, taking longer rest periods etc

couldnt get any decent pumps going in the second week either, regardless of extended sets…

for now on i think i’m just going to eat what ever pro/fat sundays during the day (wings, sausage, fatty cuts of meat etc) then have a cheat meal before bed w/ like 200-300g carbs

arms are looking slightly more vascular though

i think you would be fine dropping cals after the induction. you can also go lower during the induction bc your body should ā€œrememberā€ how to fat adapt, as long as your macros are correct

let me know how that goes for you. I do remember ct saying that eating high pro/fat on a carb up day is pointless because the main objective is to fill glycogen stores. Do you think it will be beneficial to get in those extra cals for sanity and metabolism boost? Or are you doing it because you can get away with it now with the higher prescription?

eating what ever pro/fat is just for sanity. 100% bc 200-300 grams carbs, once a week just wont cut it lol

the carbs are necessary for metabolism boost.

idk what i’ll be able toget away with now, its more guess and check than anything…

If I have tons of sugary stuff then sometimes but in general I sleep good. Hell, I usually end-up taking one or two naps during the day as well. For me the carb-up makes me tired.

Just a quick nod… When using a basic calorie counter like calorie count dot com or a smart phone app at the end of the day take total carbs minus diatery fiber to get true carbs in grams right?
Also I’ve kinda given up on chicken Im almost 100% red meat except for salmon once or twie a week…Is this bad?

I wouldn’t think so, as long as you feel you are getting an adequate amount of protein w/o a surplus of calories depending on your goal i think you’ll be fine

yay, join the club =)

thats what happens when you have indigo 3g in the cupboard

if anybody is interested, on those AD days where you feel run down and tired, ALCAR is a great pick me up. 500-1000mg pre workout with 500mg in your intra workout drink helps ALOT with brain fog and tiredness. combined with 1g of tyrosine i have some killer workouts even when depleted.
