wait…

you’ve been eating less but you’re stronger and fatter?

nothing wrong with EVOO in general, more so total macros but if you’re hitting them thats fine. mono’s are good and all but you should still be getting saturated and polys

why not add in some EVCO. i like the taste more than EVOO now.

I’m on day 4 of the AD. Been great thus far! Already feeling a little tighter. I’m probably limiting my gains by doing this, but I’m not even counting calories. I’m in this place where I have an absolute aversion to counting calories. Anyway, I feel stronger and more energetic in the gym, moreso than I ever did on carb cycling. Of course, I’m only 4 days in, so things can change overnight, but I’m digging this so far. Now I’ll give it a month and see what kind of weight I can lose. I’d be super happy if I lost 1lb per week.

i am curious what kind of results people like us (AD’ers) would see while using PL-CAR regularly… thinking about ordering a bottle

what is pl-car?

from NP

Propionyl-L-Carnitine (PLCAR) is an esterified carnitine that has clinically shown potential health and exercise benefits such as increasing energy via the transport of fatty acids into muscle cellular mitochondria, stimulating energy production in ischaemic muscles during exercise by increasing citric acid cycle flux and stimulating pyruvate dehydrogenase activity, powerful activity as a scavenger against superoxide radicals, protection against lipid peroxidation, reducing chronic fatigue and supporting male aging symptoms

you can google it for some reviews and it looks like a lot of people really like it… one guy compared it to a mild anabolic (in a seemingly honest review)

it’s supposed to be as good for body comp as alcar is for concentration…

yeah the only supplements for fat loss I am taking currently is a caffeine pill before training. I plan on getting some egcg or just drinking some green tea.

skipped my carb up this week. pretty flat to begin with but we’ll see how it goes…

I had been toying with that notion too because I was weighing in on Monday’s 8 to 10lbs heavier than I was on Fri/Sat. I started doing this mile 1/2 run on Sundays and I actually sprint the last quarter mile. I’ve done that two weekends in a row and today I only weighed in 5lbs heavier. If I have enough energy for my workouts this week and manage to see progress on my cut I’ll keep doing this except for week 3 of 5/3/1.

@J

so you have tried skipping a carb up or just something you were thinking about? didnt understand that post really ha

Whoops big mistake on that. Strength down and fat is up. Still eatting fatty meat and cheeses just wanted to make sure that much evoo wouldn’t be bad. EVCO i’m not a fan of - really dislike the taste but will try it again to put in shakes.

I’ve tried carnitine before training sessions (at that time i trained 4x a week) and my fat got to its lowest level ~8% or 9%. Great tool but I found it didn’t always sit well in my stomach, gave me a feeling of drinking coffee on an empty stomach. Still phenomenal for fat loss and great energy during the workout

how much did you use per session?

can you go into detail on how well in aided in burning fat?

so tonight at the gym one of my friends told me i was “looking leaner tonight”

maybe just water, maybe not

Sorry about that. No, I still do a 48 hour carb-up. Taking a step back… I lift Mon-Sat and Sat/Sun are my carb-up days. On Sunday’s I’ve had nothing going on and all the glycogen just builds up causing me to put on close 8 - 10 lbs by Monday morning. The last couple weeks I’ve gone for a Sunday jog and I’ve been coming in on Mondays +3 - 5 lbs instead of the 8 - 10lbs. Soon I want to change my lifting routine to Sun - Fri but it’s not always easy because I often go boozin’ it up Sat night. LOL

Also MAF I’m down to 209lbs, I haven’t been into single-digits in a long time.

Anybody notice that you have to be an Indigo member to look at the training programs?? Pssh, whatever… LOL

yeah annoying but you kinda piece it together from peoples personal vids, livespills etc… or at lesat i think i can lol

and good job on the weight drop. i cant wait to get lean! lol enojy it for me

before/after pics?

if fat loss still isnt coming along maybe you should look into a thermogenic

HOT-ROX Extreme is good and lasts aa while.

also, you prob know it but carb ups also serve to boost metabolism. when you go without carbs for extended periods of time t3 decreases and test levels will drop as well.

i’m only skipping carb ups bc i got prescribed t3 - albeit it is WAY too low a dose, im not at as much risk of thyroid levels dropping as you are

It was normally ~10g 30 minutes before training. Energy was through the roof and it helped me pump out sets after sets. During this time I was squatting 3x a week 5x10 and in the 6 weeks I did this program for for my squat went from 100lbs 5x10 to 155lb 5x10. I weigh ~160 and i’m 6"0 so i’m not a big guy by any means; these gains were amazing for me…

During some of this period I was probably in ketosis. Piss was a bright yellow and I had cut out most veggies and it was mostly fatty meats cheese and some nuts. probably ~15-20G carbs daily. Really put me to the test but I was super happy at the end with my results.

No way i could’ve kept it up, i probably would’ve changed programs but I’ve thought about getting more carnitine and just implementing it with my current training.
