para workout supps look good to me. only thing i dont like about BCAA’s is that its only 3 different aminos so there’s a limit to what the body can do with them compared to EAA’s or something like a hydro casein/whey
ill check out the log

well i have a meal 1.5-2hrs pre workout so im sure all the aminos from my food are still floating around during my workout. the BCAAs are more a psychological thing. by taking them i feel im not breaking down muscle on a no carb diet. also the leucine turns up protein synthesis. broscience ![]()

carbup for 2 or 3 big meals sunday, ~500g carbs, and make monday a pro/veggie day if youre worried about gaining fat from the carbup. im thinking about that myself.

and thanks for the input doesnt sound like a bad plan to me. i’ve been considering that as a more moderate approach but im sooo impatient lol. whatever though, i have a meeting tn so ill have to play it by ear anyway.
ended up with carbs tn. it was relatively clean but smaller than normal… we’ll see how it goes
day 1 - 208lbs
day 2 - 202lbs
BOTH were completely empty stomach first thing in the morning. just goes to show how much bloat i hold from carbs!!

well whenever i did the AD in the past it was for cutting purposes, and i was impatient too. so my carbups were only 6pm-10pm sunday nights lol, with the occasional “cheat meal” (cough beer and nachos cough) when i went out saturday or friday nights. worked well.
I’m following the same carb up protocol that maf is and I feel freaking dead. I ride my bike back and forth to class and the gym and my legs start to burn just about every time. The only change I have made is I am eating more green vedgies with dinner to combat the fact I am going longer w/o out carb ups everyweek. I also introduced intermittent fasting into the diet…Hopefully it goes well.

i was reading the old thread and there was an excerpt from a Di Pasquale article. he was talking about how 48 hours should be the MAX and 8 hours should be the MIN regarding carb ups
going forward i’m just going to have about 2-300g clean carbs that day and then a small cheat meal with friends that night. i would recommend something similar for you
jfc…i typically gain around 10-15lbs but holy shit
I’m not going to count carbs that day I’m just gonna load up on the vedgies and fruits maybe have some pasta and rice and some rice cakes
Would doing any form of hiit on ad be a bad idea??? I think it would be okay the day of and after a carb up. I was going to do some spint work on the bike as reccomended by cw

Hey guys, I’ve been doing an hour and 30min commute a couple of times a week and have been finding some travel friendly AD food. Firstly, I pack alot of my food in Tupperware so I can heat it up at my destination (Chicken, Beef). I’ve also been bringing a pack or 2 of bacon to cook at destination. The on the go food I’ve been loving is a full block of cheese. They’re portable and easy to eat on the go (easy 800 cal). Nuts work well too. I also bring a ton of fish oil caps.
Anther thing that has made my life awesome is the Ninja food processor. I’ll cook a roast or shoulder then process it and pack it. Easy to portion, easy to eat, easy to digest, easier to coat with EVOO (Larger surface area), and very tasty.
On another note. Yall’s discussion on Indigo got me thinking. I posted a thread on the topic of Indigo and AD.
Cheers,
JK
222 this morning and still some bloat… probably be 218-219 tomorrow

day 4. feeling great. i dont think ill ever get sick of bacon and eggs. roasted some pecans and almonds in a little butter and salt last night, really helps night time carb cravings.
absolutely destroyed chest yesterday even on low carbs. im about to go crush legs right now.
