Anabolic Diet Book

I’ve been looking for a copy of The Anabolic Diet, and I found it in Barnes and Nobles out of print section of their website, $131.29

After defribillating, I came to and am now wondering if that price is as rediculous as I think it is.

Here’s the link to prove it, mods feel free to ax the link if it is unsat.

Dude, you can pay for the ebook from their website. for much much less.

MetabolicDiet.com

Wow!! I bought it mail order from the US about six years ago and it was a wallet-tearer then; however, it does come with a (cheaply produced) video question-and-answer session with Dr diPasquale. Is it worth the money? Back then, with the diet’s novelty, possibly.

But not now when you have T-Nation and the diets here which not only share many of the Anabolic Diet’s characteristics, but overcome its post-workout nutritional failings.

Best bet …

  • Check out this page: http://www.t-nation.com/readTopic.do?id=629609 (and Chris Shugart’s post).
  • Use T-Dawg 2.0 (or similar).
  • Spend the +$100 on supplements (at Biotest, perhaps, in gratitude for, you know, the whole T-Nation thing!!!)

A lot of these new diets increase anabolism. You could read some of the diet articles from this site, or if you prefer books (personally, I’ve always prefered to have a hard-copy as reference) you could go shell-out a few bucks for a copy of the South Beach diet and modify it with some pre and post workout supplementation. From reading countless diet and eating plans, I’ve come to the conclusion that SB follows the principles of a bodybuilding diet. You just have to increase the total amount that you are eating on it.

If you go to Davedraper.com, they have the “Anabolic Diet for Bodybuilders” and “The Anabolic Diet for powerlifters” there. I don’t know if they are as good as the original book, but they are about $40.00 each.

I recently picked up and read both the ebook Anabolic Diet, and a softcover Anabolic Solution. My recommendation is to save yourself the forty bucks and just get the Anabolic Solution. AS has all the info AD has plus more (and supp hawking, but it’s at the end and not a big deal). In fact, a lot of AD is cut and paste into AS.
