Tha’s all.
This time we need pics and a trophy skidster. Go get 'em Buddy!
My whole body is still growing. Triceps, chest, butt and hams are all filling up with everything I eat. It’s the weirdest feeling.
Going to do some light front squats and maybe snatches or sumos today - just to keep everything limber.
Skid, just a few thoughts for you:
- Bring more food/water/power drinks than you think you should. Both my meets started late and ran late. PB and J sandwiches are great as are red bulls.
- Take your time setting up for each lift. Don’t feel rushed.
- Wait for all commands. Esp the rack command for bench. Its easy to blow that one(I know).
- Chaulk is cheap, use a lot of it.
- Talk to other lifters when you arrive. I found it calmed me down.
- Don’t pace, sit down and save your energy.
- Check and re-check you have all your gear.
Good luck and kick ass!

Front Squatties
135 3x10
Push Press
135 1x3 (rt elbow is still killing me)
Thanks for the advice guys. I screwed myself last time by walking a couple of miles the morning of the meet - an unusual activity for me. Don’t doubt it wore me out.
You’re right Eco. I didn’t talk to anyone till after the first lifts were done and I was jangly up to that point.
DZ - my digital camera hasn’t arrived yet. I hope it does - I sure would like to have some pictures/video of the lifts for when I’m like 90 years old and some fella starts picking on me I could throw that picture up in his face and say “THIS FELLA COULD KICK YOUR ASS!”
Skid the refeed, rest seems to be ding the trick… I actually had a APK dc for a while
hard to find in the big city…
looks like your sooooooo close.

If he hadn’t of gotten away, I probably wouldn’t have put it up. Not into snuff films, thanks. ![]()
They do have safety courses for those…
I have seen (and done) some pretty
stupid things with a Fork, scissor or condor lift but that is pretty crazy.
Is this what happens when people are resting up for a meet.
