About an hour and a half!

How long will you be here?

we’ll have crews there all next week, then come back sometime in Dec for another week.

I doubt if I’ll get to go, but if I do, I’ll look you up
He will do it ID, he made me drink and eat with him and get me in trouble with the wife.
That’s what I’m hoping for!

If not now, Edgy, then perhaps in December!
the boss just told me that he is heading to New Orleans on Monday, and will travel to visit this job on Tuesday - I offered, and he said that he’d be out there anyways - fml~

In due time, Viking friend, In due time!

ID, do you draw or paint anything else besides what we’ve seen? For example, fantasy/outdoor scenes?

Not really fantasy, as most of you know it. I work in a handful of styles as a painter.

As luck would have it, the link’s blocked at work. I’ll definitely check it out when I get home, later tonight.

What medium do you prefer the most? Do have times where you just are NOT in the mood to draw/paint, but have to because you have a deadline?

In real-life media, I prefer acrylic on canvas or birch panel.

All my commercial illustration work is digital. But yes, I do have approximately one day per month where I have no desire, or the ability escapes me. Like my rightside brain has shut down.

Same with painting. Sometimes the work is just a muddy mess. No connection at all!

I eagerly perused this site and found NO, and I mean NO as in NONE, paintings of Mrs. Dwarf.

And for that I am severely pissed.
Heh heh. Sorry, Push!

I have painted her portrait twice in the past. I even did some nude studies of her when we started dating! I gotta dig up those sketch books!

It’s funny, but everyone tells me that the women I draw in my commercial illustrations always resemble Mrs Dwarf.

Man, I’ve had that on my mind ever since! Sorry I never got to it. I think it basically came down to the photo not being sharp enough to pick up the minor details that are required for defining the features that make a good caricature or portrait.

Shit that’s right, I forgot. Sorry man.

Maybe I’ll try bugging my niece I told you about who’s fantastic. All that talent and she’s happy working in a mailroom at a small company, what a waste. Whatever makes you happy I guess.

Have you read Les Miserable? A regular poster here on T-Nation suggested it in a PM. You would never guess who, I know I wouldn’t. Anyway I’m halfway through and when I’m finished It will be the best story I’ve ever read me thinks.

Raft Of Medusa. Thoughts? I saw a special on the painter a few months ago and fell in love with this work of genius. The fucking size and scope is staggering. The back story is tragic as well.

I could stare at this painting for hours. I’m actually thinking of getting a small print of it for my home.

If possible, PM me some of her work. I’ll give an honest critique!

I had a copy of Les Mis since high school, but never read it! Never even saw the play adaptation. Now that you suggested it, I may pick it up! Thanks

Oh yes, Gericault’s masterpiece based on a true shipwreck in his day. One of my favorite paintings.

As a kid, I grew up in a house with NO artbooks. Never set foot in an art museum until my mid teens. However, for some reason I have a vivid memory of seeing ā€œThe Raft of Medusaā€ in person as a kid. I cannot for the life of me recall where, but I DO remember it was public place, a HUGE canvas, and I was taken over by the desperate drama unfolding on its surface. The thing is, I had thought it a dream for years until I bought my first art book when I was 20… and within its pages I saw a picture of that painting and it hit me! ā€œI saw THAT very painting as a kid somewhere! This painting DOES exist!ā€

to Clarify…

my percieved animosity towards our frozen neighbors of the north is a metaphor for me breaking free and releasing myself from the prison of my own making.

the oft imbued cry to ā€˜invade canada’, is my attempts to show my reverence for our esteemed Maple Leafed neighbors, and thier ability to live a good life full of fun and laughter.

as you can see, the very fact that I even mention the name ā€˜Canada’ is, in itself, a compliment.

when a persone grows up tall, pasty white with bright orange hair, you learn that:

any attention, is good attention.

stay thirsty my friends

WHOA!!!

I’m honored and flattered you posted this revelation HERE in my thread (a thread YOU started for me).

What brought on this sudden change of heart, friend?!

methinks that there are many that I have offended.

Edgy wished not to offend.

nor do I wish to be odiferous.

Though I do believe most here took your jabs in good humor, your change of heart will be welcome I’m sure!
