I’ve heard of studies describing the T reduction properties of green tea, I understand the weight loss benefit but what are the benefits of green tea for muscle building purposes?
The only reason I ask is that there are many sites that recommend a green tea supplement. If you only need the antioxidant properties could you not just up the strawberries and such?
I also think antioxidants are overrated. But I’m kind of skeptical of anything the mainstream health and dietary organizations push. Stick to fruits and vegetables. An occaisional cup of green tea probably isn’t a bad idea, but some of the recommendations I’ve heard, like you should have 5 to 7 cups a day are insane.
Green tea doesn’t have any “muscle building” purposes. It’s main benefit is to significantly (and proven) reduce the risk of cancer. Green tea also contains fluoride and according to different sources could either be bad for your health or really good for you teeth and eliminates bad breath.
