If I were determined to do three full-body workouts a week and that in one of these workout days I pushed all exercises to failure HIT style what would be a good way to compliment this way of training regards the other two workout days?
DC and max effert
I will bow down to the person who willingly does a full body DC workout(which wouldn’t be DC then) and says in two days they want to train full body again. It takes me 3-4 days to start walking right after a widowmaker set of squats or leg presses, do you really think that’s the best suggestion here?
yes as it is the only suggestion.
seriously, like a 5X5 aproach would be good. or maybe GVT style. also a 20 rep squat session might be good, but tough. Heavy sled dragging. Look around and try to find something and give it a go.

I’m with Scott on this as well.
Steven,
Why not just stick to one program. Don’t try mixing numerous programs together, that seldom leads to good results. Even if you have been in the game for a long time mixing programs can still be tricky.
If you want to try out HIT training, then do HIT training. If you want to try “Heavy Duty” training, then do Heavy Duty training. If you want to try DC training, then do DC training. Etc…etc…etc…
Do not however think that mixing HIT with 5x5 with WS4SB with 1-6 principle is going to give you the best of all worlds and the results of all the programs combined.
Pick one and go for it.
Good training,
