Well, I guess the third option could be all fat no muscle? What don’t you understand? There is only three possible options; A-Solid muscle with little fat. B-Both muscle and fat. C-All fat … Is there any other type of physique I am missing?

What I am saying is that with my frame and heighth, my figure would look funny if I weighed that much. Don’t argue for the sake of arguing. Rather than argue why not suggest something? Fill me in hoss[/quote]

You said to reach 185lb you would have no social life, this is a woefully weak excuse.

If you actually don’t want to be big(er) then that’s fine (we’re not all identical) but coming up with crappy excuses like the above won’t wash with me.

There are not 3 options - please quote the exact BF% for the “only” three options you stated above.

Building your body up is a journey for most of us - sometimes people choose to get fatter in the short term, sometimes people fuck-up and get fatter than they intended - these mistakes are not a waste they help you find your path. BB is no different than any aspect of life, you make mistakes you learn - you get out what you put in…

Ya i find that I like doing a little less weight, yet explosive. Advice from CT, I like his stuff.

ok. lean - 5-9%, med - 10-15%, chub 15%+ ??? Quit asking weird questions

I am pretty happy with my physique, like I said, I personally would not like my physique that big, I think I would look goofy. I am SURE I said that already. I understand some ppl like being thicker. Ideally I would like to be about 160-65. I go fishing a lot, I hike, wakeboard, snowboard. I like being lean.

As far as social life, Lets be honest here. I’m not complaining, but due my lifestyle, I already RARELY drink. Due to this, I do not go out every weekend with my friends. I have become accustom to this, and actually do not even like drinking that much, a few is good but i don’t like being drunk. So I do take a hit w/ social life already, although I realize this is something that is on me and I COULD go and w/ not drinks, but lets be honest that is the worst. Drunk ppl suck when sober.

Another, I have been the type who wont go 2 hrs w/ out food. So annoying and is actually quite stressfull. I have messed w/ intermittent fasting (gasp), and found that phycologically, a smaller eating window is relieving.

I am not one to make excuses and I work my ass off for everything I have and whatever it is i am doing. But again, to keep a weight of 185 for me, that would take some SERIOIUS dedication, non-stop. I would be filling my tummy 24/7, or would lose the mass quickly. no?

I think the issue you’ve really got is that you’re so engrained into particular ways of training, eating, etc. that you’re not having a very open mind about things.

To keep a weight of 185 for you wouldn’t take much more dedication than you have now. I sit around 205 without trying and then as I mentioned recomp lower/minimize strength loss. Without even trying to gain weight I’ll do so because I eat for recovery, and I focus on strength in training. I have maybe 2-3 big meals a day and very rarely am just eating all that often - as you mentioned it’s a pain in the ass. Personally I’d rather have a few big meals.

The only thing you have to do is be consistent. It may require a bit more dedication for me to cut down because I don’t get to eat as much and I may need some extra training to get down to weight towards the end but generally speaking, once you learn how to do things, it really just becomes “easy-mode”.

Ummm ok, that’s relevant to what was said how?

Actually think you’ll find you are complaining

yes we all understand how clever and unique you think you are for going to university. I understand some people find eating to be hard work. I also understand some people like to share “cool stories”

Ummm, do you even know what you’re trying to argue/discuss. What is the above relevant to?

Damn why am I even trying to help you, you’re clearly not the type who can set his mind to achieveing goals, you’re the type who throws up excuses.

Good luck in any future airport adventures

Haha. No I will not. Now tell me exactly what happened on last nights “insert reality tv show here”. I expect a full report on my desk within the hour.

You don’t have to drink to have a social life, although it does help. Why don’t you just take the newest designer drug and hope for the best, I am sure that will work.

Now you have to get to 185, I want to see it.

haha dude I was talking to Liquid calm down. Our conversation is done, i am not going to read the rest of your post.

To be honest I have a hard time eating a lot of calories. I have never really messed with any type of gainer though. I would imagine that would add mass supplementing between meals. I eat really healthy, so for me I have a harder time getting in an abundance of calories as to say, eating mcdonalds.

Haha Shorty that is fuckin funny!

I are confused and me is smart.

I am still trying to figure out where the help was coming from. You guys could have just said “you’re wrong”; “no you’re wrong” for like 30 posts to the same effect.

I hate to say it, but that’s nothing new. We’ve all been there. To give you an idea of my own history - I graduated high school at 130 lbs soaking wet. I taught myself to eat - and I eat quality foods because I notice a difference in my recovery if I don’t. Yes, at first it’s a bit hard because you do end up having to force feed a bit. I got a lot of my calories in via liquids such as EVOO in a protein shake. Over time my stomach was able to accommodate larger meals and what would have filled me up previously in an entire day serves as just a large meal for me now. As I said, consistency is the key.

It really comes down to what you want. You’re not a special case here, you’re just like most of us have been which is why many here are getting a bit irritated. To us it simply appears as though you’re making excuses because we have been where you were, and we overcame it. We’re not saying reinvent the wheel, or do anything so seriously crazy that it impedes your ability to have a life. Simply approach your goals with a plan and be consistent in your undertaking.

How does it come of as excuses when I clearly said I am not complaining? I am satisfied with myself and physuque I think I have established that. I understand I am small (and accept it) and need to eat more to gain weight, but I dont want to force feed, so I accept the fact that I am not going to be 185 pounds. Homeboy asked me a question so I gave my answer, regarding myself and my opinion regarding MY life.

It would be another thing if I simply came out and stated that there is no way I can gain weight. That would be ignorant and would deserve a smart ass comeback (on here anyway). I said I don’t WANT to weigh that much. Is this a problem?

hahahahaha ya I don’t think that guy ever had intentions of helping!!

Man, we went from your chat with cute blonde nutrition grad student to your diet and goals.

Where I think you went wrong with your discussion with the cute blonde is you started talking about primates and what our long lost ancestors ate. Meanwhile she’s been researching these issues using whatever scientific papers are out there. How could you expect her to take you seriously? There was a study out yesterday about how all red meat is bad for you. Mind you the study sucked (how’s that for a scientific term?) but it’s what people are going to go with until we prove to them that this study is wrong. But that’s not going to happen unless you use hard science and statistics. So when you started talking about your diet manifesto and how you’re researching what primates ate she’s thinking “what a wack job”.

I will say that from my own experience the minute someone talks about “eating the way our ancestors did” or asks “what would cavemen eat?” I tune out because I know that they are taking the easy way out and not using hard science. Cavemen ate what they could not necessarily what was best for them. We are in the position now of having science to help us choose what to eat. Why would I want to eat like a caveman when I can eat much better than one?

james

Extremes are never good. Nobody ever discussed eating exactly like a caveman. It is sad how it went from talking about a cute blonde to me haha – The main point of my story was basically how in"grain"ed it is in Americans head that “whole” grains are so good for us.

So here; Let’s stop talking about me, I am not that interesting or cool I promise all of you.

Haha, well… as much as I want to defend my love of carbs, his “faith” in Paleo seems too strong to break during my week off from school.

Instead, I’ll offer your gas pumper (and my Favoritest Tits in Porn) at a slightly better angle:

Lol, CT’s been having a rough go of it on these forums the past like two weeks or so.
