yeah man, read thru the bodybuilding bible thread, minus the drama. Some good info in there. It isnt that “OMG DC IS SOO ADVANCED BRO” to be elitist, but I personally know a guy that has been doing DC for two years now and he’s a little stronger than you, and his progress has been shit. Some people can bring the intensity at that lower strength level, sure, but I would personally wait until you’re movin bigger poundages.

x2
I think a lot of it has to do with how much “damage” you can do to your muscles. Dudes that are strong CAN do that, and maybe recover better, because they can bring the intensity and have the strength too.

can you guys suggest a different hypertrphy program that judging by my lifts you would think I was ready for.[/quote]
I think some of the best threads around are the * How do you train? threads (* as a wild card, so like C_C, Prof X, ACTrain etc)
Putting together a split isn’t that difficult, pick a few exercises for the body part you want to hit make sure you’re not overlapping and go for it. Read some of Brick’s BB bible thread (Try to ignore the drama) But body building is a pretty individual sport, you find what works well for you. Take advice from the big guys and use what works for you. Train hard, eat big and sleep lots.
OP, I think the other problem is, do you plan on doing it for a while, or is this just another “quick fix” for a few weeks?
You have to start a program or some other way of training with the mindset of doing it for a long time. I started 5/3/1 because the principles behind it matched my current ones and basically cut out all the bullshit in my mind when it comes to training. 5/3/1 is not some super program to get you jacked and huge. Its a basic program to gradually get your strength levels up. But those are my goals.
Choose something that matches your goals, and choose it with the mindset of doing for a very long time.
