I dont know its about that time when leaning out is nice. It sure seems that the first week things are ok, but then after that everything just halts. I almost feel fatter as my muscles get flatter. Ive been taking like 3o to 50 g of bcaas and day and creatine as well, and still flat. You could say im basically following the GSD with the additon of a Metabolic Drive shake, and added glutamine. I feel loss of appetite and So flat. Not sure wether to scratch it or keep going? energy is ok just feel deflated.
Stick it out, man.
You gotta push through this first part before you start noticing positive physique changes. As you deplete muscle glycogen you’ll look somewhat flat, as you notice.
And until you lose enough bodyfat to coincide with this, you will most likely appear as if you’re regressing.
Train like a demon and try to convince yourself you’re getting bigger in there. Do everything in your power to gain strength on most of your lifts.
Stay mentally tough and provided you’re not cutting your calories TOO severely you should notice some positive changes to reinforce everything soon.
Good luck.

Yeah, I agree with this…
Ive been on a lowcarb “keto” diet protocol for 3 weeks now, and it took a full 2 weeks to get over the massive cravings and the ‘mind games’. I didnt see anything till the last week now, and everything is equaling out now. It might scare you at first but sticking it out will be great for the long run. It just takes time, like everything else
Keep on trucking. You made a plan, so stick with it. Its normal to feel deflated during a lcd. Ignore these symptoms and keep on pace and reach your goal. Its simple, but its not easy.
Definitely misread the post title for “Always f@cked on LSD”
I guess these are things ive felt before, but I in the last year, the LCD approach doesn’t seem to be working as well as it did prior in my life. I find that it feels progress stops, and my apetite drops and I start having to force food.
im fine with cravings, just start looking to flat with my layer of fat i look crappy. I’ll give it some more time before I carb up!
thank god for BCAAs creatine and glutamine!
and LSD!
kidding.

I find that if im not that hungry, esp after a workout, which happens alot during my EDT phase, its just because I didnt work hard or heavy enough. With my fats so high now with the keto plan, I do have enough energy to push it over the top. Within an hour of me getting home from training…I’m ready to eat EVERYTHING I can get my hands on!! I really have to work hard then to control the cravings and concentrate on protein and fats then.
