Alternative Leg Exercises

I’m having some knee trouble lately, it doesn’t seem to affect my squatting at all but when I do leg extensions and leg curls it is less than comfortable.

What exercises do you recommend as alternatives?

Just for some info, I’m doing CT’s OVT training right now. So I"m already doing deads.

Why are you doing leg extensions and leg curls?
Replace leg curls with Glute Ham Raises.
Replace leg extensions with narrow based squats, step ups, lunges or other quad exercises.

I am currently asking about squats in another post so I’m no expert but I do a variety of other leg exercises and I like Bulgarian split squats, step ups, weighted King deadlifts, reverse lunges and even bodyweight squats(probably not ideal for OVT though). I used to have bad knees and I can say for me anyway-stay away from the leg extension machine. I think it is terrible for many people’s knees. I found once I started squatting deep and doing split squats as well as strengthening my hams, my kness don’t bother me anymore.

pistols.

Sorry what is a glute ham raise???

I am was only doing the leg extension and leg curls because thats what was in the program, unless I misunderstood that part of the program.

I’ll look up some of the exercises you mentioned and incorporate them in place of these exercises.

I quit doing leg curls/extension a long-time because they hard on my knees, I only began adding them back in because of OVT.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I appreciate it.
