@Roran thanks brother! And you should definitely try those mobility drills. They absolutely help me stay upright because my ankles allow my knees to drive out far enough to receive my body. Automatic pounds brother.
@Panopticum Hahaha thanks for checking in man and I glad you approve of the progress.
@RampantBadger Yea man, they said it would be out Thursday Morning, so Hopefully that is true. And they have already contacted me about writing a few other things as well more based toward my own programming. We will see how it goes. I’m not sure i am ready to receive THAT much hate yet though!
@TX_iron Yea man. t was a hard set. I am still definitely feeling it today.

“People don’t want to think. And the deeper they get into trouble, the less they want to think. But by some sort of instinct, they feel that they ought to and it makes them feel guilty. So they’ll bless and follow anyone who gives them a justification for not thinking. Anyone who makes a virtue - a highly intellectual virtue - out of what they know to be their sin, their weakness and their guilt… They envy achievement, and their dream of greatness is a world where all men have become their acknowledged inferiors. They don’t know that that dream is the infallible proof of mediocrity, because that sort of world is what the man of achievement would not be able to bear.” --Ayn Rand
WEDNESDAY, 03FEBRUARY2016 - Work For Today
Wave 1/Week 5/ Day 3
Today, I decided to play with some stones. But the stones won. I shouldered a few and my body is just waaaayyyyy not ready for such nonsense yet. All day I haven’t been sore but my legs still felt like they were floating in a slurry of trauma…The soreness is just NOW starting to show up. Tomorrow is going to be a comedically walking day… Definitely worth it though. I put a lot of work into that video due to camera issues. I was just glad to get it out!
Now I watched the second vid: Article on T-nation. Killer!
Btw. Do you have some tips on scar tissue release for elbows? I don’t see too much on the internet, and it still bothers me. Mostly direct elbow extension (skull crushers seem like apocalyps, yet pushups feel okay), and I still lack the last 8 degrees of extension or something. Since you know your shit on ankles, I figured you maybe knew more
@Panopticum Have you ever worked with voodoo floss, smashing it or blood occlusion training? One of those should work and I am sure Starrett has tons of free videos about hurt elbows that much better explain my limited knowledge on the matter.
@RampantBadger Why brother, is all the hate over there deep enough to walk through?

STRENGTH - Maximum Effort Upper
Bench Press Against doubled Blue Mini Bands. (Added 90lbs at the top)

225

410 (PR)
425 (Bigger PR)
NFL COMBINE TEST
225 Bench Press for 35 Reps…and still had more in me.
The banded bench press is a hard exercise to go for a 1RM on. Last wave I hit 405 but barely. This time I hit 410 fairly smoothly and then smoked 425 + Bands with ended up being 515 at the top.
I am not sure if 225x35 is a PR but I know it is close. I feel like I have been in the 40’s before, but I honestly cannot remember.
Bamboo Bench Presses are hard and make you all swoled up like a bodybuilder…
Seems to be two thirds of the comments will be positive… ‘good article’ ‘thanks for posting, ill try it’ etc and then depending on ‘likes’ and the type of shares it gets Justin Biebers retarded half brother form youtube/armchair Navy Seals/Crossfit nazis come out to play and just post a stream of random crap and jackassery
@Alpha Thanks for the tips. Never used voodoo flos, but indeed I know see kelly using it. Weirldy I find elbow rehab searching voodoo floss, yet can’t find elbow rehab when googling just that! Thanks for the tips!
@RampantBadger Thanks brother, it just posted, so we will see how it goes. And yea, I have been really thinking about the PL meet more as of late.
@Panopticum You got it brother! And that is funny about your search results!
@Benanything Thanks brother! I am stoked that they accepted it!

Well, as other’s have mentioned, if you guys check out the homepage, the latest article I wrote got picked up by T-Nation. I am really, really stoked about it.
If you like the article, please comment of the Facebook discussion about it. I will be answering any questions about the article either there or here in my log. Thanks guys!
Outstanding article Alpha, and all very true. Successful people have their head on straight, and usually to the point that other people think they’re crazy. Hope to see many more from you.
@TX_iron Thanks man, it will hopefully not be the last one you see from me in the future!
@T3hPwnisher Thanks man, that means a lot coming from a guy like yourself!
@Rattus Thanks man, I appreciate you coming out of the shadows to say that!
@barbedwired Thanks boss, I figured I would start with a nice easy topic for me. I know if I write something about my training methods the hate will flow…
Definitely a great article, hopefully many more to come about mind set / psychology AND your training methods!
Accepting any “hate” that comes from an article about your training is a price worth paying for opening up the discussion and helping those who are open to it - I know there are a lot of people here who have been influenced by your training methods, and it could only help your YouTube channel and business!
Congratulations on getting your article published on T-Nation! Like expected it was a good read. For further articles I think it would be interesting if you describe how you got over obstacles in the past. From following your old logs I remember you have overcome a few harsh things on your way to the success you now have.
Awesome article. I always tell myself before something difficult, “Don’t try, instead, DO.” its always helped. You really hit the nail on the head and hammered it the FUCK in. Thankful to have the luxury to read your log bro.
Also, the fuck man? The PR’s you’re hitting seem endless. Since you will keep this up, soon we’ll be talking to the strongest 230lb athlete in the world.
Good article dude. That ‘box breathing’ (didn’t know it was called that) - well, you’re absolutely right. Proper breathing is so fundamental and so often overlooked. The fact is, if you don’t breathe properly, you don’t move properly, which means you a) won’t ever get as strong as you could and b) are much more likely to get injured.
You’ll never get strong if you don’t build a solid foundation. That starts in both your body and your head, and both of those things (for me, anyway) start with your breathing. Anyway that whole thing was an excellent read. Thanks man.
I loved the article, congratulations on getting it published! Hopefully there will be more to follow, I’ve always enjoyed reading your articles. Parts of it reminded me of a “coaching cue” you gave me before my stone PR. After a couple of technique pointers you said, “alright, just do your job.” That mentality has helped alot in lifting and in school.
