Some quality content coming out, the 100k is well deserved. Struggling to keep up with the videos, but the Change your impossible and pre contest nerves were great to watch and really hit home. Great to see Xabi back as well.

Alpha, I spent a bit of time on Bud Jeffries instagram page looking at his crazy antics (you might get a kick out of some of them) and thought you and your crew might think these are “fun” : 150lb Atlas Stone clean press throw burpees

And “no hands” lifting including a 315lb “wrists only” deadlift:

Check out his feed, he has some absolutely insane stuff.

Congrats on the l00k. I encourage all the lifters I know to follow your tnation posts.

Stay healthy.

Man, I cannot tell you guys how much I appreciate all of you! I am sorry that i have not been on here more everyone, but honestly being sick has kind of killed a lot of my motivation so, I am slacking! I will be back once I start feeling better I promise! But right now, just making videos about the workouts is about all I can muster. But I really did want to say thanks!

So I am Starting a New Program where a lot of it will have to do with bands…just testing new things because i am getting frustrated with my recovery… So here are some of those workouts.

And then I also made a Video explaining the basics of the how’s, what’s & why’s of bands, if you guys had some basic questions about them. I would highly recommend them, they have done SO much to help my strength and explosiveness. Definite game changer.

I’m going to get here more and will be back to responding soon everyone! I promise!

Hi Alpha, really enjoyed the latest video, been too long since we had a mindset rant! Always helps me sort my head out and keep focused. “Why? Because I said I would.” and the part about Tier 1 people. I’m a million miles away from being tier 1, ha, but adopting the mindset has to help.

Your latest video is top, top tier.

You might not be into “motivational”, but damn are you motivational!

@Tim_Tom & @punnyguy Man, I so appreciate this fellas! That was my very first video that was so “Controversial” and had such “Dangerous and Harmful” Content, that someone reported me and they demonetized it. I had to appeal it and won, but lost most of the money on that video because someone thought it was too extreme… Man, if this is where we are headed, I am not sure that I want to be part of it!

So you guys saying that means a lot fellas, it really does! I almost deleted it, but I agree with what i said so I left it. You guys saying that definitely helps me feel better. Thanks guys!

If you are wondering what we are talking about, here it is:

Other things you may have missed were a squat tutorial that should help you out:

A 3 month challenge that i am doing and invite everyone to do with me:

And us weighing and flipping our 1,000 lb tire once Alan Thrall called me out. I am heading out to CA in October for a collaborative with him and Mark Bell, if any of you are in that area, let me know, maybe we can meet up!

That is awful to hear, but also not shocking. Thought it was an awesome video. Exactly what needs to be said, even if it’s not what people want to hear.

Well, I guess they are right in some ways - it is damaging and harmful to weaker minded individual’s viewpoints. I think if anyone goes out and injures themselves because of a YouTube video… well, that’s just silly isn’t it? People who understand the correct message, and how it pertains to life and not just lifting things, get it. It’s one of my favourite videos you’ve done in a while, glad you didn’t take it down! And luckily YouTube aren’t paying you much per video (I think). Keep up the good work man!

Safe to say you wouldn’t be where you are today if you let any detractors alter your course. You’re the man dude, your content is excellent and the folks that care will vouch for you.

I definitely feel everyone on here’s concerned about your well being. Hope you’re getting better.

Well, here he is hanging out with Brian Shaw, so he seems to be doing all right…

An update for everyone, since Brian seems to be pretty busy at the moment:

I had the opportunity to train at Neversate Athletics last week (was in DC for a work trip and decided I couldn’t pass up the chance to work out there since I would be within an hour). A couple observations from my drop-in experience:

  1. Brian is EXACTLY like what he appears on YouTube. Friendly, personable, a ball of energy and enthusiasm. Walks around the gym coaching and cuing EVERYONE nonstop.

  2. His crew at the gym is also the nicest you’ll ever meet. Three or four people introduced themselves to me as I parked my car in the “lot” (grass) and walked up to the gym. Just saw a new face and wanted to greet me. Incredible group.

  3. Those people are there to work and they REALLY get after it. The workout I did was absolutely brutal; if you read my log, I admitted that I couldn’t complete it as Rx’d (after the conditioning to start - tire flips, keg clean and press, and kettlebell carries - I was gassed, and had to break the squats into smaller chunks from the prescribed rep scheme to complete all the work). I’m not on Brian’s level, but I am no shrinking violet (420 squat, 605 deadlift, ex-college football player & later semi-competitive marathon runner) and that workout was the hardest thing I’ve done in a few years.

Anyways that’s a quick note on my trip to Neversate. I know this is Brian’s log, but not everyone here reads my log and I wanted to share my experience in getting to meet Brian and train at his gym. Highly recommended for anyone that swings into the Maryland / DC area (it’s about an hour north of DC for anyone who travels there regularly), but make sure you’re ready to work.

Glad to read he must be ok. Miss his posting.

I’ve been following along on YouTube and he’s done some great collaborations lately. Not gonna link them out of respect for his creative/distribution control.

That being said, you Have To check out his latest with the Earthquake Bar. Very interesting and funny as hell.

And that’s the greatest dog in the world.

“Liking” this wasn’t enough - awesome! Thanks for the write-up.

Nearly a year of silence on this log. Brian is killing it with his channel and looks like he has been through lots over the last year what with multiple surgeries and illness. Really good to see him coming out the other side of it and still working as hard as ever.
