After my “3 things that Help My deadlift immensely” Video, a lot of people asked for a video on the Good Morning, one of my top assistance exercises for both the Squat & Deadlift. I hope this will help some of you out!

Mildly impressive traps in that middle video there…

Ok Alpha, I’ll try good mornings. I can squat and deadlift pretty heavy for my age, we’ll see if those numbers improve.

@Biker Just take your time getting into them brother and make sure you have the form down. But once you are able to add some weight to them, your numbers will definitely be moving again!

So last night Jujimufu decided to stop by my gym to work some Strongman and do a Collaboration…He and Tom are some of the nicest and most genuine people in the world. i was highly impressed.

I won’t go into everything we did because it will come out of the course of a few videos, but We hit some Stones, Car Deadlifts, Rolling Thunder, Pull-Up Stuff, Tire flips…and it all ended with a Nunchuck Fight.

@simo74 Thanks so much brother! And funny that you should ask about my knee because i just uploaded this:

So in this one, I give you guys an Injury update…As it turns out my Rotator Cuff is Torn and I need surgery to repair it…so I have some decisions to make with the National Championships only being 1 Week out. This should get interesting.

Goodluck with your surgery whenever you have it. You’ll be able to do a lot more than you think sooner than you think. I had my sling on for around 8 weeks and I just did a ton of sled drags, and reverse sled drags and HIT biking, along with bodyweight stuff, I treated it almost like a gpp phase. you should be able to add in a safety bar relatively quick also. I’m 14 weeks out and pulled a 25kg deadlift PR today. This small break could be beneficial in the long run. Make sure to discuss all of your options with your surgeon before you go in, shaving down your acromion to take pressure of the rotator cuff, if they find other things wrong in their what you want done, etc…

Hey man, hope surgery goes well when you decide on it! I had a question for you man. I was watching a few of your videos and saw your linear program.

Is this the way you have it setup?

Month 1 - 4x8
Month 2 - 5x5
Month 3 - 10x3

I had 2 questions based on that.

Question 1 - Do you do 4x8, 5x5, 10x3 for just the main movement (squat, bench, deadlift, ohp) or for everything including the SGS?

Question 2 - I would love to run a program that is setup the following way:

MONDAY
Back Squat
OH Press
Chin Ups
Abs

TUESDAY
Front Squat
BB Rows
Dips
Lunges

THURSDAY
Back Squat
OH Press
Chin Ups
Abs

FRIDAY
Front Squat
Deadlift
DB Bench
DB Row

Based on how you have your linear progression program setup, how would you make it work for the layout I have written?

Any insight would be appreciated man. Thank you putting out dope content!

@bigmanfootball67 Dude you and I have the same ideas! I am not going to let what i can’t do effect what i can do…I just plan on working on everything I am able to!

@isdatnutty Ok man, for your MGS and SGS use that rep range. For your AGS auto regulate for whatever you body needs to be finished off. If you are shot from your other Giant sets then just get some volume and a pump. If you need more heavy stuff than do that. And If you want to run that program then go for it man, but i wouldn’t do it like that at all. It might be ok for normal gym stuff, but i don’t see you gaining much strength on it and if you continually do the same movements in a linear fashion you will stall out within the first few weeks. i literally would change most of what you wrote man. Not trying to be mean, but it is not what i would advise. i would add a lot more variation, different compound movements for balance, I’d stop squatting every day and i’d move more towards a goal rathe than general stuff. Just my opinion man.

WEDNESDAY, 15NOVEMBER2017 - Work For Today

Last Lifting Day Before My surgery. I wanted to get a Straight Bar Squat PR but my shoulder is not letting me get under the bar right now…So I settled for the Spider Bar.

170lbs
260
350
440
530
Belt on
620
670
710 (PR)
730 (Bigger PR)

…So theoretically, if i can hit 730 on a Spider bar then i can get at least 750 on a regular bar. But it may be many months before I figure that out.

Anyway, I am happy that I ended training on a good note because it will be literally probably a year before i see another PR. Win or learn, but this one was definitely a win.

If any of you want to see it, you can check it out here:
