I am beyond proud of our Athletes! In this video I show some of the PRs that took place this week as well as some of our Adaptive Athletes wrecking shop and had a few Individuals travel from far away to come train! Seriously, I’m Living the Dream…
In a completely amazing Gesture, Omar Isulf featured me on his channel today! I am beyond humbled and grateful for this opportunity and Omar is such an awesome guy. This was really, really cool of him!
Great poop story!
That poop story might just dissuade me from ever eating a (chocolate!) doughnut again LOL!!!
…plus a very helpful tip on emergency pooping on planes!
Loved the podcast! I was laughing so hard at the end that I forgot to cap my protein shake and it ended up all over my kitchen, so thanks for that.
Brian your episode of the powercast was Quality. I watched it once and then listened to it again later in the day. It felt like friends just talking about stuff they love to do it was very genuine and there was no bullshit. I liked it a lot.
I watched this episode but on the podcast I’m still only in the 40s which is still 2014 for watching them in order. I was wondering if they still kept up with this, not much has changed.
@dicksharpe Hahah thanks man!
@punnyguy Hahaha I try to be helpful!
@Roran Hahaha that is awesome man!
@simo74 That is awesome man, thank you so much brother!
@sufiandy Hahah yea man, very little has changed as far as that goes!

“Success is a function of persistence and doggedness and the willingness to work hard for twenty-two minutes to make sense of something that most people would give up on after thirty seconds.” --Malcolm Gladwell, Outliers
“For almost a generation, psychologists around the world have been engaged in a spirited debate over a question that most of us would consider to have been settled years ago. The question is this: is there such a thing as innate talent? The obvious answer is yes. Not every hockey player born in January ends up playing at the professional level. Only some do - the innately talented ones. Achievement is talent plus preparation. The problem with this view is that the closer psychologists look at the careers of the gifted, the smaller the role innate talent seems to play and the bigger role preparation seems to play.” --Malcolm Gladwell, Outliers

If you have ever missed a PR & Asked yourself “Why?”… (Yes, I am looking at you)… There could be many reasons for your poor performance that you haven’t considered… In this video I cover 3 tips that might just make the difference in wether you make, or miss, that big attempt. Hopefully some of you will find this helpful and entertaining.
Hey, you have to be selfish enough to take a little time for yourself.
You’re continuing to put out great content. My wife laughs when she comes home from rehearsal at night and sees I’ve got your videos on the TV…it’s almost like you’re part of the family now.
This was a terrific video. Out of curiosity, what’s your general “policy” on out of town guests, if there is one? Should I just ping you if/when I can make the trip and figure out a good day and time? I don’t know exactly when, but I’m hoping to make it there to check out your place in the next year or two. It’s about a 4 hour drive from where I live, but only about an hour-and-change from my parents so I might be able to pull it off as part of a long weekend visit home.
@ActivitiesGuy Hahah that is awesome brother, thank you! As far as a visit, all that I require is that you email me first because we have a very small spot and it gets filled up quickly! As long as there is room, you are more than welcome to come out brother! Just let me know!

“Once a musician has enough ability to get into a top music school, the thing that distinguishes one performer from another is how hard he or she works. That’s it. And what’s more, the people at the very top don’t work just harder or even much harder than everyone else. They work much, much harder.” --Malcolm Gladwell, Outliers

CONDITIONING - 5 Rounds
8 Burpee Pull-Ups
:30 Second Air Assault Bike Sprints
NOTES:
- 405x5 On the Bent Over Row isn’t a bad day and neither is 450 on the buffalo bar bench press. It is a PR by default but that thing moves all over the place when you are pressing it and The extra few inches in the bottom of the movement DEFINITELY make a difference.
Assistance and Conditioning were fine. I need to drop a decent amount of weight for my comp in May so I don’t have a lot of time. Spending each morning and evening doing steady state on the Air Assault bike just trying to build up lactic acid tolerance and eat up some calories.
Hope all is well out there!
Here is the Full Workout if you guys are interested:
You are a talented storyteller. Your poop story made me squirm as if the flight attendants were whispering and judging me! As an added bonus, it will automatically put me on a diet - there’s no way I can bring myself to do anything but take tiny sips of water when I’m flying now; way too risky!
@TrainForPain Hahah glad to hear it!

I can’t stop watching the Bear scene LOLLLLL!!!
I hope it goes viral…
Hey Alpha,
Had a moment in the gym today I thought you might get a kick out of. I was all set to do my rep PR sets and had the number from last week in my mind to beat… Well, unfortunately I fell a bit short. I went to log the number anyway because its good to log to “stock market” of ups/downs I think to keep in mind every week isnt an “up week” and lo-and-behold I actually had the wrong number in my head and beat my old number by 5 reps. Sort of a “Shoot for the stars and even if you miss you land on the moon” type of moment.
Also a small YouTube suggestion, is it possible for you to go to the videos you do guests appearances on and give them a thumbs up? This shows up in your activity log and makes it easy for us to find your videos on other peoples channels. I like to show my support for you by watching those (and learning)
Thanks for all the info and inspiration brother.
Hey alpha might I suggest you do some type of challenge where those who manage to succeed get their YouTube channel shout out on yours. I think it would be an awesome way to get your followers involved, with a cool incentive. People would share it and also give you exposure.
@punnyguy Hahah glad you like it man!
@Lonnie123 Sure thing man, I can absolutely do that! And that is hilarious man! That is an excellent Unexpected surprise!
@xXSeraphimXx That is a great Idea, I’ll have to do that!
