Man I’m so happy you’re out there finally! I remember myself getting you the ideas to open IG and YouTube accounts for the last 2 years or so and watching you listen to my and all of our advices for you in this logs… Watching you gaining the publicity you deserve is great. I’m super glad man!!
Live full, Die empty.
I’ve been away from a simple strongman for a few days, and come back to a damn celebrity! Way to go brother, hope this collaboration will help you gain the popularity you deserve in an industry filled with deluding scams who are famous.
Keep rocking!
@kckfl349 Thanks man, it has been a busy week with putting both of those videos together and coordinating with Alan but I am super happy with how they turned out!
@Benanything Thanks so much brother! He is beyond cool for helping me out when he had no real reason to.
@furo Hahaha, I’m not that kind of guy brother! and it has been amazing with the subscribers. It is so crazy what a little bit of exposure can do for you…
@BOTSLAYER Hahahaha welcome to the log brother!
@Roran Thanks so much man! and I cannot believe how awesome everyone has been who subscribed. I hope it just keeps growing from here…
@Regev19978 Thanks so much man, it has been a long road but this is a good step towards where I want to be…
@Panopticum Hahaha not hardly a celebrity man, but definitely some more exposer! And i really appreciate the support brother!

STRONGMAN CONDITIONING - 5 Rounds
100 Foot Farmer’s Walk (bodyweight in each hand)
100 Foot Sled Drag (Back Peddle)
Then i was doing some taping for a video the will hopefully be done tomorrow so I did just about every big barbell movement I could think of a bunch of times with 135…i was sweaty.
Then i knew i had to hit deadlifts but I kind of tweaked my hamstring on the keg carries the other day so i wasn’t sure how it would go.
135x3
225x3
315x3
405x3
500x3
560x10. Called i there. It wasn’t light but I definitely had more in the tank if I wanted to push it. But i figured i would baby the hamstring a little bit and call it a day.
Thank you all for all of your support with all of the youtube stuff. I can’t tell you how much it means…
We are all just excited to be along with you for the ride. I can’t say how much of an impact watching your videos and reading your training logs have had on my training. After nearly 10years of lifting I feel like I’m finally STARTING to ‘get it’ when it comes to training! Keep the videos coming, I have TONS left to learn! ![]()
Holy crap! I nearly fell off my seat when Alan said you had asked the subscriber question from his Q&A video.
Great advice for the average youtuber but I’m sure even Alan did a bit of a face palm at the training footage comment after watching you squat 700lbs and manhandling 350lbs stones.
That’s a long way of saying: I hope your national’s prep is well documented for us training geeks.
Anyway, congrats on the recent subscriber uplift - hopefully it’s just the beginning.
@littlesleeper Thank so much for saying that man, it really does mean a lot!
@tsantos Hahaha well, i am definitely tracking what i am doing for nationals i just feel like most people don’t really like the training videos as much as they like the instructional, so i ave been doing more of those lately. And i really hope you are right about the subscribers!
=======================================================
So i just uploaded the final part of the little series that I have been releasing this week. It explains which barbell exercises i feel have the best carryover to Strongman Competition. If you guys are interested, definitely check it out. Thanks again for all of the support everyone!
Wow, I’m geeked out over the influx of subs you got on youtube. So well deserved.

FRIDAY, 12AUGUST2016 - Work For Today
It was a hot one again in Maryland. Had high aspirations to hit some continental Clean & presses with the axle but those conditions were not conducive to getting a bar to stick to your shirt so i decided on Banded Strict Presses instead.
Did this Giant set
Single Arm Barbell Row: 120x8 (each Side), 145x8, 145x8, 120x8
Banded Standing Axle Strict Press:
135 + 110lbs of band tension (245 @ top) x 3 reps
165 + 110lbs of band tension (275 @ top) x3 reps
190 + 110lbs of band tension (300 @ Top) x3 reps
210 + 110lbs of band tension (320 @ top) x 1 Rep
Windshield wipers (8 each side): 1, 1, 1, 1
And that was it. I was throughly soaked so i taped the outro for the video and called it a day. I will hopefully have the footage uploaded for you guys tomorrow sometime.
The exposure couldn’t happen to a better person. You’ve really gotten comfortable in front of the camera. Dominating the weights, and optimizing the mindset. A leader and role model. Much appreciated!
Wow, I go away to climb some mountains in the Alps and come back and you have triple the number of subscribers. Well deserved for both the content you provide and your attitude to training and helping others.
I still remember 6 years ago lifting half what I do now and I first discovered your 2nd training log which completely changed my approach to training. Keep it up man!
@Betabill Thank you so much man, those words mean a lot!
@Ironwarrior25 Thank you so much man! I love reading about your training and I hope you had an amazing time in the mountains!

Documenting the Road to nationals. We are 11 weeks out and It will be here before we know it…Just hope I can show up at my best! I show some of my training and talk about starting my weight cut, check it out if you are into such things:
What’s Up guys, I am going to post my workout from yesterday just as soon as I get home, but for right now I just uploaded a new video where I explain some ways that you can immediately improve your front squat. In it I cover some Mobility, how to stay upright and go over some basic cues. Check it out if you are interested.

Then today I just went in and did some Strongman Conditioning where I hit 3 rounds of
1 Stone to Shoulder (260lb Stone)
1 Burpee
2 Stone to Shoulder (260lb Stone)
2 Burpees
3 Stone to Shoulder (260lb Stone)
3 Burpees
Then after the stone got incredibly gross from the sweat I couldn’t hold onto it anymore so i called it there.
Not bad because i wasn’t really supposed to be hitting anything today, but now I am glad that I got something done.
Whilst you’re taking requests… there isn’t a bunch of stuff on lifting with injuries and niggles - at least not in video. You seem to have a particularly good feel on when to push things so I’d love to hear your thoughts on the topic.
Loving the videos, thanks for all the great content!
@tsantos That is definitely one of the very next videos I am going to try to cover brother! Hopefully I can come up with enough content to fill a video!
@Roran Thanks for watching them man!

WEDNESDAY, 17AUGUST2016 - Work For Today
Wave 1/Week 2/Day 3
STRENGTH GIANT SET - 6 Rounds
5 Single arm AXLE Rows @ 125lbs (each side)
2 Close grip bench presses @ 405lbs
10 Grenade Knees to elbows
ASSISTANCE - 3 Rounds
Max Effort Dips: 77 Reps (PR, I think), 55, 40
Max Effort Neutral grip Dumbbell Bench Press @90’s: 25, 20, 20 Reps
Banded tricep burn-out: 3 Sets
NOTES:
- Pretty happy with how easily the 6 set of 2 were at 405 on close grip.
- Grip definitely got some work today between the axle rows and the grenade knees to elbows.
- I am fairly certain that 70 Dips is a PR, but I honestly could tell you.
- I did a lot of their because there have been so many questions about reps/sets after the Alan Thrall video, so i thought I would show an entire workout to hopefully answer some questions. That video will hopefully be edited and uploaded by tomorrow
Any word on how is the whole Strength Wars thing going, Brian? Just watched their latest episode and every single time I think to myself, man, I bet Alpha would kick their asses. Oh and on a side note, would you consider your other competitors(at nationals) to be equally athletic cause I don’t really know any of them to be honest.
@Benanything Well, i am kind of holding off on the Strength Wars stuff until after Nationals, Maryland’s Strongest Man and hopefully the Arnold. And then it will be dependent on how long I am down for the surgery needed on my foot…I think it will be awesome but it may be a while before you see me on there man. I would love to do it I just have other stuff on my plate before I can really focus on it.
And yea man. ALL of the top guys in my weight class at Nationals are just as athletic and most are stronger than i am. I am telling you, it is a different breed of human! Thanks for the kind words brother!
========================================================
For those of you who saw the Programming video i did with Alan Thrall, I have gotten a ton of questions about how to set it up. So for this weeks training video i show a full workout where I perform everything and explain what I am doing. Oh and there is a set of 70 unbroken dips in there. I am not sure if that is a PR but I was happy about it. Check it out if you are interested!
Just finished day 3 of my program designed from this template. The workouts have been spot on, awesome work, much appreciated.
Killin’ it, bro!
If you would recommend a top 3 of non-barbell/dumbbell implements for someone who wants to be all-round strong, athletic, ‘functional’ and a aspiring strongman competitor, what would they be (in order)?
Okay, that is a pretty vague question, but it is exactly what I mean hahaha. I try to get an all-round bad ass just like you, try to get strong for fighting and try to get strong and functional for LEO work. That pretty much sounds as you at various points in time. And since resources aren’t great, I try to get as much as bang for my buck as possible.
Keep awesome.
