@T3hPwnisher Hahaha i actually have. If there was a gym like that around me, I would totally try it! It looks like a blast! Great PR as well!
@stronkfak Every once in a while, I try to expect the best in people hahaha, don’t prove me wrong!

“Never let failure discourage you. Every time you get to the base of a mountain (literal or metaphorical), you’re presented with a new opportunity to challenge yourself, to push your limits beyond what you thought possible, to learn from climbers on the trail ahead of you, and to take in some amazing views. Your performance on the mountain you climbed last week or last month or last year doesn’t matter - because it’s all about what you are doing right now.” --Alison Levine
Definitely hurt my back on that last deadlift…Not sure how bad just yet, time will tell, but something went a little wrong there.
STRONGMAN - Atlas Stone to Shoulder
175
185
207
232
260
300
350 X Nope, Tried it a few times. Pick was easy, but just couldn’t generate enough force to get it high enough for my shoulder.
ASSISTANCE - Reverse Hyper. Light and lots of them in hopes of getting some blood to my back so it starts the healing process. We will see how bad it is. i think it could go either way at this point. Tough to breath and weird never pain, but not radiating badly so maybe i dodged a bullet.
@T3hPwnisher Thanks brother, i really appreciate that. It feels a decent amount better today, hopefully it will not take long to bounce back. Time will tell.

650lb Deficit Deadlift PR (3" Deficit), little bit of a back issue and attempting to Shoulder the new 350lb Atlas Stone. Check it out if your are interested, and thanks for the support!
This has got to be one of my favorite quotes ever. I hope you’re back feels better. It was pretty insane watching those stone attempts. That is some serious weight being thrown around. I can’t wait to come back up to train. Are there any good times in August? Thats my only time off of school.
Just wondering, is it every justifiable to take time off from serious training just because?
Personally, I’ve injured my wrists and it might be some tendon issue of sorts and it’s pretty much killing my intensity and desire (I want to but whenever I start, I just get frustrated and pissed at myself, example : not being able hold the bar properly for squats etc etc) to train. On one hand, I could probably fight through it, on the other hand, everyone is telling me to take a week or even an entire month off. I’m really conflicted, part of me wants to continue training, another part of me just wants to go fuck it and take a month off or something, in hopes that my wrist will be back to normal once I’m back.
I’m just posting this here cause I would like to get @Alpha’s take on it but replies from the other guys are welcome too.
@Roran Thanks man, and there are nothing BUT good times to come in August! Just let me know when you want to come out and we will set a good day up!
@strongmanvinny2 I really hope you are right man!. And I think the 350 Stone to shoulder will be there the next time I try it, I juts need to get a little stronger and the stone needs to get a little more seasoned.
@Benanything Absolutely man! Whether you are too beat up, have a lot of nagging injuries or just mentally are burnt out, then you are not going to be making many gains in the gym. If I were you I would take a week or 2 or maybe even more to allow your brain and body recover a little bit. Then i would choose a new program to try and come back with new goals and a new approach. You would be surprised how much that can help your progress. But if you are burnt out and frustrated, you probably need some time off. Just be careful. The time that you used to spend at the gym will fill itself up and if you are not careful, your layoff may be a lot longer than intended.
I hope you heal up and get mentally recharged brother!
Well, I took yesterday off “kinda” i ended up taping a video about how to get more leg drive involved in your overhead press. They are 3 tips that helped me out a TON. If your overhead could use some help, definitely check it out.
Back is on the mend. It is far from good, but i don’t think it will hinder things for too long. I hope all is well out there with everyone!
Congrats on the recent PRs man and hope the back heals soon.
I am looking at adding the front squat into my training program more, but I am still really struggling when doing the clean grip as I get pain in my wrists. Just wondering if you had any ideas with the setup on front squats to help with this?
That is all I did today because of my back still being a little rough and I was so overheated I just kept feeling like I was going to puke…Yay Maryland Humidity…
Really didn’t expect the Log PR, but I am incredibly happy about it!
Latest Training VLOG where I was fortunate enough o hit a 335 Log Overhead Press, plus 60 Unbroken Dips and 20 Grenade Pull-Ups. Check it out if you are interested. Thanks for the Support Guys!
Watched this video by BodybuildingRev and holy crap, imagine if you competed. Well or at least post a response video to it, it’d be pretty cool. They have an entire series of videos like this. I’m 90% sure you’d absolutely smoke them.
I thought most of these matches were in Germany, but they should broaden their horizon right;)
I think you have a above average chance of crushing a challenge for someone with you strength since you are most of your time training in a fatigued state and have a nasty training density: that would help out a lot!
I only know of one battle that took place outside of Germany which was in Ireland. That said @Alpha , if you come to Germany to participate in Strength wars then just say a word. It would be great to meet you! In all seriousness, I have had this thought myself, I think Alpha would beat most of the guys there. A battle between him and Patrik Baboumian (if I got his name right) would be very cool.

MONDAY, 04JULY2016 - Work For Today
Wave 2/Week 2/Day 1
I am not sure on this one. When i pause the rep at my lowest point I think I may be a hair high. If you look not at the parallel point (My quads Stuck up too far for that) but from my hips crease in relation to my knee, it was really close. I think it would have passed in some feds and would have been called in others. Either way, i am not a powerlifter, so I am fairly happy with how this went down.
I would agree that the depth is a little sketchy. That being said, it’s not like you don’t know what depth is. I wouldn’t think too much about it, it’s just training after all. I’m sure if you were to do a meet, you’d make sure you hit depth.
And follow up question, how is it that your squat/deadlift numbers are so similar? Is it the knee sleeves or is it something else?
