Alpha Male - Put To Test

Thanks Plymouth, but doesn’t a regular mulivitamin ensure you will not be deficient in a trace mineral like zinc and magnesium?

One-a-Day has:
15 mg Zinc (100%) versus 30mg in ZMA
120 mg Magnesium (30%) versus 450 in ZMA

My Vitamin B Complex has:
50 mg B6 (2500%) versus 10.5 in ZMA

So a little more of some and less of other…but seems odd to think I’d be deficient in any.

That said, for 9 bucks, I did go ahead and add to my shopping cart…

Check out the ZMA thread and read threw it.

The types of Zinc and Magnesium in regular vitamins are poorly absorbed. Plus, other vitamins and minerals thrown in the mix affects absorbtion.

Most people get plenty of B6 that follow a healthy diet. It is added in primarily because B6 further increases absorbtion of Zinc/Magnesium.

I know a lot of people who take some form of ZMA, including myself, and I have got to say that it really is good stuff. Everyone typically reports the same benefits:

-better sleep
-Increased performance (stronger)
-feel better during the day
-less need for caffeine and other stimulants [/quote]

I just realized when I seen this post. I was a coffee-holic. I have been taking ZMA for about 5 months now, and the coffee consumption is way down. I don’t need the caffeine to keep me going during the day anymore. I am assuming because I am getting deeper sleep with the ZMA. Never connected the two. Interesting what you pick up here.
