Alpha Male - Put To Test

Can you elaborate?

I’d be curious as to the effectiveness of this product by those men that are on TRT since the TRT replaced whatever testosterone they were producing anyway.

Not necessarily. hCG keeps prior T levels and prevents shutdown.

Basically, Alpha Male is a herbal version of hCG in a few ways.

Does anyone know of any studies where an herbal test stimulant (like Alpha Male or TRIBEX) was used while on TRT? I thought I read somewhere on this site in a discussion about Alpha Male that it would not have an impact (or same impact) if on TRT.

My story - 47 years old, been on TRT for about 5 years. Started with a transdermal patch which did not work and switched to injection. Now on 100mg of delatestryl every three weeks. My doctor retired so I need to find a new one. The prior doc never wanted to test my levels after the first time (low end of normal) as they were “normal”.

After discontinuing Alpha Male, My test went down 5 points total and about 30% on free.

Should you use an anti-estrogen while on this?

Whats the most important number for an athelete the % of free or the % of total?

Is Halodrol-50 by Gaspari any good, I heard it had a good rep, but on this site there is a review and there is mention of a newer Halo* Gaspari product which is not as effective…

5 total points is not a big deal, but a 30% decrease in free test is huge

Results are in !!!

First, I want to go back to my comments earlier on perceived results - I had mentioned that I felt no significant gains in size/strength, etc (though strength gains were obtained over the course of a month).

However, I may need to reevaluate. You see, I just returned from a business trip in which I joined co-workers from other parts of the country…people I see only every few months…During this trip, I received FOUR seperate comments about the fact that I looked bigger (“buff” as 2 put it).

One comment was from an ex competitive bodybuilder, 2 were from women and 1 from a gay guy (in other words, good judges of physique).

So perhaps its like watching a clock and I made gains I hadn’t realized…

So for the numbers…I am a bit shocked…
from 451 all the way up to 670…WOW!

This test nor the previous include free test, so I am stuck there…sorry…I guess I need to ask for that next time??? I thought it would be included.

On the down side, estradiol went from 22 up to 33…what can you take to counteract that??? and is that number too high??? I know its in “range” but…

As I mentioned, this was not controlled…I mentioned fish oil, but with these results who cares…take fish oil and Alpha Male…

I was very pessimistic and did not expect my post to be like this at all…I expected a few point bump in which I might have credited placebo effect or fish oil…this is pretty amazing.

Hey BJ,

That’s quite an improvement. Good job doing some testing and researching on your own. I am curious about one thing. Are you on TRT of any kind? Were you taking TRT at any time before or during the time you were using Alpha Male?

I am still suspicious and curious whether Alpha Male is beneficial to those men on TRT.

Life Extension Foundation would classify an estradiol number of 33 as high for a man of any age. With aromatase inhibitors you could bring it down to an optimal level somewhere between 17-25.

No.
No TRT.
I just wanted to bump up my test for cosmetic purposes…

BJ,
Do you think taking Rez-V might help lower those estradiol levels?

Yes. The 1st few days on AM I have a short temper way more than on AAS. I feel edgy like a string pulled to tight. It usually subsides after a few days. I believe its the eurycoma, because triblus doesn’t affect me, and when I used RED KAT by itself Inoticed the same thing.

Want realy amazing?

Next time try it with a regular schedule of ZMA.

Seriously, I did this combo and it will knock your socks off.

I am skeptical of ZMA since it was invented by Balco. In reading “Game of Shadows” ZMA sounds like a scam…not to say I will never try it…i am willing to try most anything…but ZMA was low on the list due to what I mentioned.

As for Rez-V…I don’t know anything about it…is that said to reduce estradiol???

To lower estradiol levels do liquidex .5 mg twice a week.

Estradoil level of 33 is fine. As long as your symptom free, I wouldn’t worry about it.

Balco didn’t invent Zinc or Magnesium or Vitamin B6 or the various asparates. They simply were the first to perfect the combination.

There is nothing shady about ZMA. Its the best bang for your buck supplement you can buy.

Thanks Plymouth, but doesn’t a regular mulivitamin ensure you will not be deficient in a trace mineral like zinc and magnesium?

One-a-Day has:
15 mg Zinc (100%) versus 30mg in ZMA
120 mg Magnesium (30%) versus 450 in ZMA

My Vitamin B Complex has:
50 mg B6 (2500%) versus 10.5 in ZMA

So a little more of some and less of other…but seems odd to think I’d be deficient in any.

That said, for 9 bucks, I did go ahead and add to my shopping cart…

I know a lot of people who take some form of ZMA, including myself, and I have got to say that it really is good stuff. Everyone typically reports the same benefits:

-better sleep
-Increased performance (stronger)
-feel better during the day
-less need for caffeine and other stimulants
-reduced acne (people’s skin seems to get better from this stuff, especially if you combine it with fish oil)
-and of course, it will get you hot chicks.

While this laundry list of benefits is not all encompassing, it has to taken into consideration that if you’re not defficient in either or both of these minerals, you probably won’t see many benefits from ZMA.

Thats a pretty strong drug and high dose for an e2 level of 33. IMO i would try DIM or Arimidex at .25 e3d. If symptom free then dont do anything.
