Almost Human

First episode aired last night. Looks promising. The new show from Abrams. After Lost and Fringe you can bet this is going to get funky.

I liked it. could be a good show. having it as lead in on sleepy hollow won’t hurt either.

Looks pretty decent.

Will be canceled after 3 episodes.

never know. the critics said that about the Big Bang Theory.

Season one of Fringe wasn’t exactly viewer friendly. Compared to Firefly, it really took its precious time rewarding people for tuning in.

I won’t bore you with the details. Things are very different now. Netflix offers a major lifeline to series that were cancelled even after finding an audience.

Might have to check this out. Fringe was a very underrated show.

not bad.

I dunno, I thought it was bad, at least at this point.

It’s like instead of pruning things down, they just borrowed every trope from cop drama and sci fi they could and threw it into one place. The acting isn’t particularly great either.

Mostly it reminds me of a 90s video game, with some TekWar thrown in.

It usually takes me about 4 episodes before I really decide one way or another. The first episodes of any series can be pretty rough. It still has hope.

10 episodes Mann and Machine lasted 9

I thought it wasnt too bad. I cant stand cop shows since they have been done waaay too much. But this throws out a different feel. We shall see.

Yesterday’s episode was actually pretty good and much better than the first week.

Yup I agree. There was some meh dialogue/acting but I think the storyline will more than make up for it.

Each episode was better than the previous one. Got three colleagues who got into it as well. All seem to think that it can have a good run…

I like the BBC model of a defined story arc limited to a few seasons and then on to a new program altogether.
I usually get bored and quit watching after a season or two anyway.

Episode 3 was significantly better. That was fun to watch.

I still don’t get the white-shirted girl back at HQ though. She seems to be nothing but cutsey eye candy, and doesn’t quite fit with the rest. I mean, clearly she’s the love interest for now, but it feels very forced and incongruent.

Looking forward to Ep 4 though.

Well, of course. I just prefer a girl with a bit more personality, and she hasn’t shown any yet.
