Glad you got started on the activation stuff! It really will make a difference. I’ll keep on you about it!
Best pie yet!!! Sounds amazing.
Look at that thigh!!! There coming…Rest week did you good, but good to have ya back training!
Masherano —> I love to say your name. I just grab whatever i can and walk around with it.
suitcase full, dbs, the RDLs back in, anything I use my grip. So yesterday doing RDL my grip held the 95, but the last couple reps set 3 were trying to give out and i held on with fingertips. Next week ill try the 115 and may be able to at least get in a set or two, then ill go to straps only when i really have to. I really think not doing regular RDLs contributed to lost grip strength.Plus at home i dont have as heavy dbs so i wasnt lunging and BSS with the big dogs.I just like to have my focus were it belongs NOT on if I can hold on or not. Not sure that helped.
Feel free to tell me any tips any of you have that worked.
PG haha too much clothes, ah come on, you just want to see where all that pie ended up…
*HINT Not my waist but a little bit lower ![]()
G You better, I had read someone posting about rolling their lats to activate, and that was HUGE for me, so not sure why Ive been slacking on this. Probably because i love denial, I mean really do we really wanna know are glutes are lazy? (erhum all show no go) hahaha
OK OK YES WE DO!

Seriously though, and not to be a prick, but what exactly was the point of EyeD’s post? If people didn’t know what a Ferrari was, and how much!!! they cost, I guarantee you most would say they wouldn’t want a Ferrari because the engine is too damn loud!

I don’t think his comments were meant in a negative way. Perhaps EyeDentist has been trying to motivate his wife to lift and was showing her pics of women with physiques he found attractive. But it’s true that lifting isn’t for everybody. You have to find your passion or you won’t stay with it.
So, EyeDentist, does your wife think I’m too muscular? (Say “yes”!)

x2 forgot to say this also. snapper we could tell you this IF you would just post a damn picture, and or take off the long shorts you wear and just keep on the bootie shorts, so you can stay all modest and all ![]()

Definitely not meant in any sort of negative way–I’m already on record as saying UpScale’s physique looks great, which is why I was using it as an example (to my wife) of the beneficial effects of earnest weightlifting for women. I think she has the underlying aptitude/grit needed to lift more intensely (you should see her grinding out sets of KB swings). We’ll see how it goes.
And once she said UpScale had too many muscles, kpsnap, I didn’t bother to show her your pics. (I hope you’ll take that as a compliment from me.)
Your appearance befits your name here, Upscale.
You look fantastic! Great work!

Your legs seem to have really taken shape this last 6 months…I just wanna see them.
EYED I hear you. Grit- ha ha yea you need some grit. KBs are no joke, Im sure she looks great.
2Busy thanks for dropping in with compliments, its good motivation to keep doing it. I see you started the I3G
Good luck with that, sounds pretty cool.
Upper Body at gym today. Im really trying to get my time (rest) shorter and I get a little more of the
GET IN GET OUT attitude there.
My forearms got wrecked. I forgot how this felt. Will have to stretch them out today before I lift.
LOVED training at the gym today
Bench
45/10
55/8
65/6
75/3x8 vid
wide grip working on getting wider ring finger on line
70/3x8 vid
DB SH PR
20 3x10
chest supported Tbar row
20 3x8 was kinda hard to breathe, at least seemed weird.Had to get on toes to reach pad to chest
lat pull down
new for me
48 2x10
601x6
need to figure out where they hide the adder plates, 48 too light 60 too much…so then i did some rows lol
DB rows
3x8 30#
COMBO
tri behind head 25 3x10
DB curls 2x10 1x9 20#ers ----> finally able to do the 20s together instead of alt arms.
front raise 10 3x8
bent arm delt 10 3x8
Arms were done, was still feeling traps from overhand DLs …
You made those benches look easy.

Thanks Cav, had to adjust to the new bench, needed to slide back.
Trying to train smart, be patient and all that …
yep, nice benching.
love the quad and hammie sweep in the black yoga pants on the last page.

About Pict:

I am told that glutes are best activated with a good firm slap !!..girlfriend says…

Your are doing a great job! Took time off and really rejuvenated yourself. Came back to training with a great attitude and a spark! Awesome! And really great to see how excited you are about your workouts again! You are really on point girl!

I agree with this. I hope no one got their noses out of joint over his comment. It was pretty innocuous. Muscles and a lean look aren’t everyones cup of tea. I’m just annoyed my name didn’t come up as looking good. I put him on ignore for that
ha
Up - nice double overhand DLs. How did you find your grip on them? Do you ever hook grip?
You got that coveted X-frame going on! Jelly!
It is fun to train in the gym sometimes. I get so stuck on DBs and barbells…but those pully devices definitely make things interesting. Lat pulls are my favorite! The wider the better. And so many variations of the theme! underhand, overhand, straight arm pull downs, stretchers, J pull downs. Lots to have fun with ![]()
Curls for the girls
Nice work! I find curls super tough, so to get 20s up together is great! I can barely get up 15s.
And Excellent benching!
Glad you found you joy again!
O I really liked the Double O on the Dls, but when I do the overunder grip i dont look at bar and my back is set going down, and tight, when i did the DO I looked down to set hands then tried to get tight, was way different. As far as actual grip it was good, not sure I could hold onto much more, not yet anyway.
Ummm Ive tried to see what that "hook’ grip is, i need to google it, cause im not really sure, so I must not do it.
About your figure… Id say the compliment about your x gf or wife saying she loved your body, That should be enough to hold you over threw, eh, 2013!!
Mashy Hmmm the “X”, well when Im not all squished in my clothes, I am enjoying some curves, although I cant seem to dry off that crease between my cheek and leg, i could use your help.
I wish I was a fan of that smooth tie in, but I like the now you see it…
BEND and SNAP
ha, wait, thats not exactly it. You know what I mean ![]()
I was able to curl the 20s alternating arms before doing all the big lifts then accessory,so getting them up at the same time after everything was a thrill. Hopefully I can repeat the process.
Love the pony tail in motion look
