 Your welcome. Glad your head is straight…ya look kinda funny when its crooked…lol jk!
It is a perfect week to play around with that stuff. Just keep it fun, not too intense or to long and let yourself reset so to speak. Then we’ll put another string of great weeks of training together.

Awesome abs. I wish more women would stop thinking if they touch something heavy they’ll swell up like a bodybuilder.

Yea, I guess Im one of those women…Dang-it your right it is not going to happen.

Thanks on the abs.

This week is my light week, train when I feel like it, which as of this moment i dont feel like it.

Fuel = good, bumping it up some, see what that does.

I got my Thanksgiving food shopping done.Gotta get the house all in order, so tomorrow when I wake up and want to have a nice light easy day, I will be ready. Wait, light weight is usually accompanied by higher reps, hmmm we will see about that haha

Todays trail ride, dog walking, and stretching is on tap

Sounds like a great plan for today…enjoy!

Woot woot!! Those abs are incredible!! Would lick. Great work, girl! You seriously have the most perfect physique imo.

I’m with you on vacillating between being lean and then plumping up a bit. I personally don’t like how I look all that lean - mostly because my ass gets smaller, and well, I (and my guy!) like a fat, jiggly ass shrug But also b/c my face gets gaunt and boobs disappear…the abs are really the only reason for me to be [THAT] lean.

I do feel that I perform better athletically when I’m not a chunky monkey though, which is why I usually stay somewhere in the 133lb range (i’m 130 in avi). I’d love to see what I look like at 127 though, but that might require a bit more effort than I’m willing to put in (yeesh, what a rant)

Anyways, I don’t know if there is any info on this out there, or maybe someone else knows, but maybe you can do some sort of mini-bulk? Like you run a cycle on suprlus cals, and then you run a cycle on deficit?

I don’t know if this would work being that its so short a time period, but it could be a good experiment?? Sounds kinda like what you’re planning on doing anyways…Maybe I’ll try it myself actually! Holidays are a great time for bulking…yeah buddy! champagne clink

Doing whatever you want this week sounds lovely!! Like German said, great time to “reset”! Have fun and have a great Thanksgiving!

Oh! And about the protein! You just got me back into it again because you reminded me that its important for post-workout nutrition and all of that.

That said, the protein I bought looks like baby puke and tastes like something you might puke after too many pieces of birthday cake. So I’ve kinda fallen off that wagon…oh well, I train at night, and then try to eat my dinner an hour or two afterward - I think I’ll be fine. I think…

Mash ~~~ lickable one lump or two.

Yea on eating, why does it have to be so complicated? Not the actual food part the indecisiveness of

mmm bootie power versus smooth legs…I think Ill keep the bootie and just train like Ive been and see what happens.

As far as protein pwder goes, yea its a tuffie, some give me gas, so obviously those are out.I had good luck wit Labradas lean body for her.Was great when i worked cause it came in single serve packets. Maybe similar to cake batter as stated above though.Tasted decent. I havent tried the metabolic one here. Or grow or any of those that sound interesting.
What about BCAAs while you train if your not goin to do a shake? Ive been out and they are out of stick here last i ordered.Seems to me looking carefully and slowly at your pics, you have plenty of muscle…

LoL! Protein farts!

I think this means you’re a professional weight lifter now! Next you’ll be talking about sharting during squats and I think you’ve pretty much won.

HAHAHAHA! Sorry…

As for the BCAAs and all else - my problem is consistency. I forget to take pills and bring shakes. Meh! I reckon its because I eat warrior diet-style and so I don’t really eat during the day.

And thanks on the muscle - you’re silly. Everytime I think I have enough, I want MOAR! vicious cycle.

LOL, Lets clear this up, if a shake doesnt agree with me it isnt taken again.
*spanking is a must now young lady!

I agree with the muscle wanting MOAR.

Good work being done in here…

Heyyyyy you

I love this “work”!!!

Baking some pies today, the house is going to shmell so good.

Been thinking about my day at the gym…

Whoa has my grip weakened from, well not using my grip. RDLs - my grip
at 75 I had to think about holding on the last couple reps.
I love love love how those feel. That deep stretch, the slow tugging on the hammies , God I love that. Looking forward to them being back in rotation.

Im really enjoying the gym days/home days, even with people in my way its kinda nice to get in, head down and get it done! OK maybe Im lying about the people in my way…its so annoying that everyone leaves theyre weight on the bars. Put your fucking plates away.

As far as the walking lunges, even with 10 #ers they get me every time, helllo glutes.

Traditional Turkey for us tomorrow, and all the fixins yummmm :stuck_out_tongue:

Amen to the “Put your plates away” if you are strong enuff to lift it you are strong enuff to clean it up…

Today i was just finishing my work on the bench and a guy picked up a loaded ez curl bar (loaded) right next to me but one handed, hadn’t got the balance right, no collars on and the weights go cascading all over the place.

Small one landed on my foot which elicited a bit of a bear growl !!

We are all waiting patiently for pics of those pies!!! Sounds soooo good!

Hey Up!

Just thought I’d bring this link over to you - it was posted by Dani in the PW Q&A thread. I thought you’d like it. I read it prior to my DL sesh and it got me super stoked. Its a lot of info you already know, but the vids are inspiring - badass chicks FTW!

Hope you had a great holiday!

Colin thanks for not quoting my potty mouth :open_mouth:

Not sure why I do cuss. My mom never ever cussed not once. If my dad said “God dammit” you had better be running very swiftly outa the house. But It really does piss me off the weight thing.

BN Geeze hope your foots ok.

G1 hehe had your realz life name typed out. Sorry about that Fred haha
Ill have you know the pie may not have looked that spectacular , but I was told it was one of my best apple pies yet :stuck_out_tongue:

Mash thanks for the link, I did take a peek before training, that kinda stuff DOES charge me up, love it! Seeing the double overhand made me try it today.

Also G has been on me about not activating things enough, so her video reminded me of what a lot of you are talking about. Not to mention who doesnt like to air hump ? Shocking how that clam one had my bunz burning :0 Did a few others too. Now If I can just keep on it.

Ill have to go find that log, sounds like she posts some good stuff in there.

So Thanksgiving was delish, ate way too much. Im really glad i took off some time and just did this and that. Little abs some dive bombers just some keep me moving and let me charge back up. Ill have to listen better about taking that deload BEFORE I actually need it

Today back at it, not anything crazy, still keeping things slow going back in. I started with my deads at home, didnt feel like dorkin around with the warm ups and setting it up on blocks or something. It was actually good cause the gyms only 4-5 min away so I didnt skip a beat, headed there right after.

The other thing Im going to be better about is really activating my glutes etc before lifting.
I really like the stretching and rolling but found i wasnt doing some key things, I will be
on top of it. Really could feel things working today too.

Once my eyes stopped bleeding watching the guy with a somewhat loaded bar, squatting on a bosu ball…this is what I did:

HOME
warm up Deads
95x5
115x5
135x5
145/2x5 2 min rest
double overhand

be glad to get my groove back

GYM
hack squat
3x10 no weight just the machine nice and low

LEG PRESS(pause at bottom)
160x5 180 2x5 1 min rest

WALKING LUNGES long stride

20s, 25s, 30 3x10 each leg First 2 sets no touch, last set tap down

RDL
3x8 95 really trying to get my grip back, legs could have handled more but not my grip

SLB 3x8 each leg 25s, 30s used straps for 30s, grip was done

COMBO
back ext 10 # plate behind head 3x8
SL ext. 3x10 20 or 25 forgot
sl curl standing 3x10 15#, last set 10#. these are really hard, keeping hips and glutes where they are supposed to be, this was the weight i could keep my form in check.

This weight seems off, maybe i had 10s not 5s. Will have to pay better attention.

Went home had a shake and this dinner.Yum Whole foods kabobs Korean ginger

Update on my plan to persuade my wife to lift more intensely by showing her UpScale’s pics/vids: Mission failed. She looked at your pics and declared that you had “too many muscles.” I hope you’ll take it as a compliment.

EYED Well having to “persuade” her into something she had reservations about to begin with
chances were slim.

Ill take it as a compliment, although in training mode = pumped up muscles.

If she just met me in “clothes”, not sure she would have the same thoughts. Not saying I dont look good, I just dont think i come across as “too muscular”.

Today some active recovery, jump rope or jump whip as i like to call it.
Rolling and stretch.

Im really liking that “curve” in the front of my leg.

Nice work on those deads, girl! Overhand is boss. My grip crapped out after 135 - I’m definitely impressed! How are you working your grip? Give me some tips!

And yeah, the legs are definitely coming in. You’re doing amazingly! You’ve really come a long way physique-wise since you’ve started the log. Congrats!

And I agree, a lot of us ladies don’t look particularly muscular when dressed. Hell, even undressed I don’t look all that muscular. Personally, I only look “strong” if I’m throwing up my gunz, and I mean, how often am I doing that (when I’m not alone, or after a few drinks, or not checking out my abs at the gym)? lol!

Like Up said, some people like strength training and some people don’t - there’s no convincing anyone to do anything. If she’s physique oriented, she’s got to do whatever kind of exercise she likes in whichever way motivates her. And I for one do not think that weight lifting is the end all be all!! I mean, there are so many ways to achieve one’s desired physique and stay healthy throughout the years. She doesn’t have to drink the koolaid, so to speak…

Too many clothes! -EyeD bad!

Seriously though, and not to be a prick, but what exactly was the point of EyeD’s post? If people didn’t know what a Ferrari was, and how much!!! they cost, I guarantee you most would say they wouldn’t want a Ferrari because the engine is too damn loud!

You look great Up, the best I’ve seen anyway.
