Read this today on FB in response to a question around supplements:

“…awesome bodies have been built for YEARS without all the fancy and expensive stuff that’s out now”
Thats true but you could also say “People have lived to be ninety years old without ever visiting a doctor or taking medicine” and that would be true but I think we can all argee that its silly to ignore stuff that actually works.
This is also true. And I hear Gin is a great cure all…

I have no idea what we’re talking about anymore, but I now really want a Tangueray and Tonic.
I am very sad to note that your first choice was not tequila.
Maybe tequila with a Tangueray/Tonic chaser?

OMG party in UPs log,can I join in?

Mash well in “normal” light its not a big deal, but Im talking beach light,I want it all ya know?!
AND as far as diet yea, Im kinda strict all the time ,but I do tend to stray and need to dial it tighter
now and then. Its actually been a long time since following somewhat closely to some old eating plans.

Dday havent heard of rhodiola Ill check it out, like the part on “mentally even”, better get after that before it starts lol.

My “fascination” with the 3G is the people gaining muscle losing fat and eating like horses —> I so love to eat. I understand the accomplishment factor “just” from whole food, i do , but come on…we are talking rocking bodies here tic tic tic we are up against a clock, now pass me that drink please :stuck_out_tongue:

LEGS

warm up blah blah

deadlifts 115x5 135x5 155x8 175x5 180x5 (rep pr) held my back nice for 175 180 some reps did others didnt.I actually didnt look like my normal self.

I am going back to my 10 day program. I have gained a lot of strength , i feel it , I see it BUT doing deads every other week and squats every other my technique isnt as dialed in. I actually stood at the bar looked down at my feet, and asked myself whre the hell I usually put them, sad but true. Felt like forever ago cause guess what? IT HAS BEEN. Its been a good learning experience and I guess if i dont try different training patterns Im not going to know what works best for me, so definitely no regrets (plus strength is a plus) and WTF hit a pr so I really cant get too disgruntled.

then hit some front squats and then played around with the Andersons Mash did HOLY FUCK they are tuff.
First it was a battle of the bar rolling away, blah blah. Kept weight low 75 down to 65 when i dared to go below parallel.

Mash you are one bad ass hot piece of prime beef! Have to decide to work these in on a front squat day, we will see.

that was it, my body is ready to reset and go back to my 10 day split, more rest and hitting squats deads more

ohhh also we had taken out RDL stayed with the GMs which are good but the RDL REALLY helped with my Dead pull
they are coming back.

EDIT: Should not type and eat…punctuation, rambling sentence, yup all of it, whats new.
EDIT FIXED that, had 185 instead of 180 , but its still a rep PR

I have been using rhodiola for few weeks, not so much for training but as an adaptogen to help me deal with night shift/day shift transition.

Oh and…

Just ordered INDIGO…

Both excited and a bit intimidated.

We will be watching…no pressure hahaha

Exactly…no pressure whatsoever !!

Wow Miss PR…2x this week, bench at 85x5 was a pr (and i think you would have hit a 1rm but wise not too) and dead at 180x5. Also last squat workout the 105x5 was a pr and you did 2 sets!!! You are doing awesome girl!!!
I think you analysis is right on…

For the bench i think it showed that you can do some higher rep work and volume and come right back with good/better strength. Actually the first time i ever bench 405 was after a cycle of 10’s and maxed…go figure. Also i know that i have told you as your dips got/get stronger along with your oh press strength your bench will climb. Great job with those 2!

I think the 10 day microcycle has been the ticket for your strength. There are times where we need to push the frequency for a bit too but the 10 day rotation is paying dividends…
Great point on the sq/dl technique and actually is was more spread out than every other week (so to speak). I think your pr’s early on came because your technique was so good, now its more strength so well combine the 2 now and look out…lol. I do think the gym machine day was good though as it gave you a chance to find your way around a new gym, get comfortable and try some machines so win win. And it broke up the template you had been on for a while…Now well definitely get back to the template type you had at old gym…

And definitely on rdl/stiff leg (your own version that you have). Both have their place but as you know i am a big fan of rdl/stiff leg (remember the Kuc story lol) for your style of pulling. We were just trying to squeeze in bunch of stuff lol so the break from them was probably good?

Well not sure if i missed anything? GREAT WORK!!!

Thanks G, and your right my bad, the time between deads was more like over 20 days, geesh
Gosh that bench day felt so good, I still am feeling it in my pecs :0

Dinner was this : Yam baked (love when it gets the sweet syrup drizzling out) hate them microwaved. Broccoli and the chicken I baked over Gorgonzola cheese and sprinkled on top.

LET ME TELL YA, SOOOOOO GOOD!!

Will make again!

Didn’t mean to.correct you but got thinking and it was about 20 days between dead days jeesh!!!
That looks amazing!!! Wow!!!

Sure we want the LEAN & MUSCULAR look… but you need the MUSCULAR part to start with!!! INDIGO will repartition the nutrients where they are needed to enhance your body. Do the work and let it happen!

It is not a “fat burner” or a “muscle builder”… it can’t be pigeon-holed like that! It affects the very way your body functions and handles nutrients. In other words it makes the body more efficient at everything you do.

You WILL have very positive changes. Let them happen.

As for the gain… your body is likely storing more nutrients in the muscles, hence the gain (each gram of carbs stored with 3g of water).

We each have our own underlying physiological issue that INDIGO can fix. As someone without much muscle mass, you probably were not efficient at sending nutrients to the muscles so they were, for all intent and purposes, "selectively starved:.

CT quote - have to admit sounds interesting?

So …what do you reckon ?? are you going to do it, would be awesome to watch your progress on it too !!

OH BN I just threw that up because it gave a little info… I honestly havent given eating enough time, not to mention I really cant justify it at the moment. Very intriguing to me.

Ill Just keep a close eye on you, hehe

Heres the copy cat in me …The hardest part was getting the damn bar from rolling, I know theres a trick? Please tell me there is lol I still need to be lower and more upright elbows up.
Probably not the best time to try after deads and reg fr sq. But I was dying to try these.
Way harder than it looks (for me anyway), just getting into position was a challenge.

That’s tough, starting at the bottom instead of top. Good work!

I did these last night from 2-3" above parallel. I wanted to work with a heavier weight to tax my upper back and quads. I will probably drop to parallel next time and see if I can get it.

And you don’t need to be any lower than the last set since you are below parallel. Plenty deep. Getting into position is a bitch if the bar is too low.

Cav these were no joke, thanks always fun to try something new/different.

Git yea, believe me I edited out minutes of trying to set up, I either fell backwards, the bar rolled away etc. Well Mashy has those glorious hamstrings that make her look even lower than I know she already is.

Took a pic of what I just ate and for being a fairly boring meal the pic was nice so here it is had this with some primrose oil.Not a huge fish fan, more of a meat-atarian kind of girl.

Lots of food porn in this log. NSFW for me. I get hungry. LOL.

Shit now Im gonna have to try these Anderson Squat thingies…awesome work UP!

They are sneaky hard, seriously the set up alone is frustrating, ha!

Ddot this food gets you going? I can tell you just came off a strict eating plan!

HAHAH! Bitch, are you calling me out on my depth? I love it! You’re right, I should be hitting them a bit lower. Thanks for looking out, mama!

And actually, you’re entirely correct. With my build, “ass to grass” is more like “hammies to calves” which is obviously much easier! Plus I’m barely 5’2, I don’t have long legs like you, which also makes everything tons easier for me! And also makes me sad :frowning: I should be much stronger, damnit!

Anywho, your Anderson’s look great! I don’t think you need to go any lower than what you did. You broke parallel, FFS! What more do you want?

Dinner looks deeelicious! Yummo indeed.

Also, thanks to you I bought protein powder. YAY! More muskels! RAWR!

So the anderson squat is basically a front squat but starting from the bottom at a dead stop right ?

I can see why that would be hard.

Food looks really nice, looking forward to eating lots !!

HA NO! Defintely NOT calling you out! Just saying you are really low and the beautious hammies make it look that much lower!!

Umm yea that last pic of you on the boat is still vividly floating threw my mind.REDIC!!
Look at who wants more…Miss just off surgery.

Upper today is going to be tame. Needing that flat week. Another thing to mention on the no RDLs and the walking lunges in gym etc is my grip strength was getting really good. Another good reason to get back on that.

Ill be back, said in best Schwarzenegger voice.
