Then instead of bike sprints I climbed on the beast AKA SPIN BIKE Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr
10 sprints 1 min on 1 min off alt standing,and sitting, equally as painful. The tension stays full throttle on the spin bike more so than the regular bike, yes Im a gluten for punishment, but Id only be pissed at myself if my legs dont get nicer.
Yes, Im feeling good about my progress. Ive gained 3-4 lbs since starting this log, today 3.5 - but Im not a huge advocate on scale weight, I want to SEE my gains.I should do some measurements, yea good idea haha

I’m totally with you on doing some kind of “cardio” the day after a lifting sesh. It makes my DOMs feel better too! I think I read somewhere that it helps by flushing out any lactic buildup…but i could’ve just totally made that up!
Btw, have you ever heard of OnFitness magazine? (i always pimp this mag out) I highly recommend it if you’re interested in the sciencey part of fitness. Its totally readable and chock full of info. I don’t normally read magazines, but I get this one which comes out every 2 months, and when I buy that I also buy Oxygen, you know for the pretty pictures and stuff. I feel like these two mags compliment each other well. Then I donate them to the gym once I’m done with them - secretly trying to turn gym bunnies into she-beasts!
+1 on the active recovery and OnFitness. Both are solid recommendations.
Although, I disagree with much of what Frank Zane writes in that magazine. He’s really anti heavy weights for whatever reason and I keep meaning to write in but then can’t be bothered. Most of the stuff in there is really solid.
Definitely take measurements and forget the scale. I have a scale for quick reference (I know if I’m losing weight that I need to eat more) but I don’t guage any progress on it.

BN hmmm sometimes i think IF I didnt pour it out, I need to make up for it. No BSS so I did spin bike knowing it was tougher than the regular bike. That being said my body is no different than most, I know it needs to rest to GROW. You are killing it by the way!

James we never even had a scale till kids started needing to get weighed for sports etc. I usually do the “nakkid test”, Im sure it is self explanatory. Works like a charm, no guessing, no weighing.
