I’m a ‘newbie,’ biker. Well, what’s old is now new.
I was forever on my bike riding miles and miles out in the desert as a kid. I love biking!
Mim yea, its so pretty here, so biking is great.I cant believe how much they cater to runners and bikers and
cross country ski trails…
Training
a repeat mainly of last week…
leg press, single leg press
~~added in GMS this week 85/10 95/10 100/8 85/12 ------> I HATE training in front of a mirror!! I could turn around but like to have the rack available. I think I feel it more when i dont see myself, i am able to really dial in form. **will have to adjust
bulg sp back leg up toe flat for all, but i used whatever flippin muscle wanted to help get me outa the hole.
slspsq close stance
leg curl
calves
single leg extension a little gain here.
finished with the sprints 8 1 min with 1 min rest. A little bit of my crazee comes out here… older fellow on both sides, one reading a mag, the other trying to hold his own. Sweat was flying and Im wiping anything dripping on my shirt, too hard to grab my towel.----> yes so glamorous wiping snot on my sleeve, but hey getting sexsay muscles isnt a pretty JOB, deal with it.
Lol, i could just picture that whole biking scenerio…too funny UP!
Brutal leg day. Love the effort, eh’ this isn’t hard enough I’ll throw in some GM’s. You’re a beast!
BTW been using the hard soles lately. The are a bit more stable but cause my toes to go numb for some reason???

YEa I kinda wrote the day out of order, but on paper didnt think it looks too bad, but it fools you(me).
Funny you mention the toe numb thing, i had that happen yesterday while doing leg press.I assumed its cause i usually go barefoot in my chucks and the sneaks were too tight so i took off the socks…they felt fine in a minute. Maybe the thicker hard soles make the shoes too tight? I have to loosen up the laces and straps a bit when i switch out the insoles.
Or try rolling maybe something is pinched?
Either way you are killing it!

I didnt even dare look at them…
There was a class going on yesterday and the ladies(didnt see any males) had the barbell in a good morning, the row I saw all had great form, I was impressed!!
But then when i was doing calves I read the “rules” no chalk (they said i could if i ‘cleanup’) and no Olympic Lifting …not sure exactly what that means.Maybe no banging of weights?
The legs are going to be really sore again…maybe the single leg press? My legs were gassed after that.I mean IVe done over 200 on press why is the little 50 #er so brutal? lol
Hope your hip/knee is feeling better, but by better I dont mean have a killer leg day…

I could just picture two old codgers thinking SCORE!!! lol And minutes later you are dripping, frothing at the mouth, snot flying…ha ha ha. Jk
I am guessing they probably don’t want people dropping the weights? I would doubt they would say anything about the hang cleans etc.
Leg presses can vary so much from one to another lol. I think the couple tweaks you have made to hit the legs where you want them plus some residual fatigue is making you sore? Plus the 8 day/week i am going to kill my legs mentality…ha ha ha, jk…your doing great!
Swelling almost gone, i am thinking a fr sq cycle then a SSB cycle before i get back to back squats? hmmm.
“Old codger”? Guilty! ![]()

Had to look that up. There are definitely plenty of them here, but not all of them are old. Interesting eclectic place i live now.
Whats up with you PG?
Heading out for a bike ride soon. I think my son will avoid the big hills, which is fine by me.
How did you like doing sprints on the treadmill?

Hey MiM I did the sprints on the bike, havent tried on the treadmill, but visions of me flying off do pop in my head.
Bike ride getting a bit chilly to start…he surprised me hitting two hills, amazing to have a little more each time. I really want a new bike, mine doesnt have the shocks on front so is real stiff. Wore my trail shoes loved how they gripped the pedals.

This actually happened to me a few weeks back when i tried the Dan John inspired combination of squats and sprints but in the gym…pushed it slightly too hard on the tm speed, lost pace and got spat off the back like a can of beans.

GIRLS OHHH come on, really? I hope your wrong, they looked so good.
today I kept stretching and tightening back up * rinse/repeat
warm up ----> Im not doing it long enough cause after a few sets of bench it kicks in, or is that how its supposed to work?
anyway …
Bench 45/5 65/10 70/8 75/7 80/5 70/8 (pause last set) m-fer they are killer last.
Wide Bench (wut? Im not done, lol) ok 70 3x8-12 really G 12? nope was 70 3x8 and the last one was a all legs in, but ass still on bench ![]()
DB bench alt arms (so one arm is in lockout at all times) 3x8 each arm 25s —> had to really really focus on the negative and keep form, balance.
bbpbh 45/10 50/8 50/6 45/8 45/12 ouch
plate raise front 3x12 used a db 25 and some momentum —>couldnt help myself * eye roll
tbar 12/10/8/6/12 50/55/60/65/48
push ups 12 floor 10, 10 cant believe how hard PUPs are after bench geeze
db tri ext 15
sh press 2x8 lol on starting with 25s but hey got my 1 rep haha
lat raise drop sets to burn out love these
Sooo Yea, not sure what comes over me with bench, like i said above maybe not enough warm up cause after i do all my sets in first bench I want to go heavy again, but getting PRs isnt a goal, so I behaved and moved on.
and still keeping abs, unlike a lot that say they dont care about abs …I realized I DO!!
Maybe tighten up the diet a tad…
Gulp!!
Upscale, are you aware that you just might be (it’s a possibility), uh, you know, turning into a (must I say it) . . . bodybuilder?
