Agree// do you wear the white hard inserts all the time, or just the flatter black ones? I really like the hard soles. Just wondering. I do forget to take them off sometimes for say RDLs or Gms and I wonder why its so different.
[/quote]

Haven’t tried the hard ones, honestly I’d forgotten about them. They are very comfortable though. I like them for GM’s and OHP, great stability. Tried them for deads a few times with mixed results, light weight was great but heavy weight not so much.

Really? they are the ones i love.
Gms and deads G says dont wear them? Maybe he would explain why…

Training

warm up with walk outs to push ups

push press kept light and didnt go crazy on them.

Bench Press 45/5 65/5 80 1x6, 1x7 2 min rest

incline Bench 65/5 70/5 65/6

narrow bench 70 3x5

Ghetto rows

451/ 55/8 65/6 75/3 shouldnt have jumped 10 lbs not sure what i was thinking. Plus Thanks to JOE suggesting using the smaller plates i get more range of motion, so the first 2 sets i was holding for a second at the top with the squeeze, think i fried myself.

combo

band push down 3x as many in 45 sec

db row still dont have 30s so 25 for 12 —> felt it at 10 (3x12)

db curl same time 15s as many in 45 sec

delt side raise 10s 3x8, then ended last for 1x20 with the 5s amazing how much they burned from such a light weight.

forgot what reps were for the timed work ugh think it was 15-17. last round tris were fried

Heres dinner. This plave near by we go and pick veggies and dig up potatoes, they are so freakin good. This steak is super thick and was delish.

I also set up my sons ramp to do some standing rollouts tomorrow (if i can) Im ready to strap on my mini back pack with a plate in it, so one or the other will go down.

Im a bit competitive so cant have the boys showing me up. haha SOOO I at least have to give it a try.

Anyone thinking about the Indigo Sup???

Hey Up, i am sorry but we got wires crossed on the shoes and gm’s. I think they are fine. Definetly sq, fr sq, box sq, GM, maybe Sl Bulg, rdl? Also all your oly lifts and push presses. May make you push hips back more in rdl, you would have to try it and see? I wouldn’t use them on deads for your training, you have a high hip type pull and i think shoes will push you forward more.

You would have to really sit down into the dead and that would get you away from your natural pull. Also not sure you want to change your gm/rdl shoes right now, they are really working for you sooo??? But also shoes are a good way to mix things up, also try training with no shoes here and there especially on some of the SL stuff. Can even try toes elevated (up on plate) for GM and rdl.

I think it’s about time for you to change your thread title!!

your really in your groove…keep it up!

^^^^

Agree with the pretty lady above. Ride this grove as long as you can.

Yea the heals push me too far forward on the deads. It wasn’t bad with warm up weight but once the weight got heavy it really drug me forward, shoulders went infront of the bar and it was over.

I’ll try the hard soles tonight.

Mims is right - and steak dinner looks nom!

I always though one stayed with log title for whole length of log? But yea i guess i could change it.

Today training was different in the sense that I had more mental game than strength? Is that possible? Well I had strength but it was limited. Oddly it felt good, real good so i went with it till it peetered out.

warm up rolled and rolled forgot to mention rolling the other wo warm up too, this is helping tons.

hang clean + fr sq -rack 5x3 light

more hang clean work

front squat 65/5 (vid) 83 1x5, 88x5 (vid), 80/5

deads warm up 135/5 155/5 (vid) 175/5 (vid)155/6

rdl ----> something was saying dont do it when 85 felt heavy/off so i didnt

circuit sl bulg sq light - 20s
leg ext bands
leg curl bands all not repping out

I need to think of different timing for my pull in que after knees, etc

Did a sort of update with my physique with G , side angle is definitely growing but quads still stubborn and still look too thin to me. Will switch it up here again to stay in line with my goals, he has something in mind -----> I may be sorry…

I may post a couple pics so you see what i mean, maybe not. Im a bit feisty today :stuck_out_tongue:

Aren’t you forgetting something (how do you say it whisper voice…)pr’s

You actually pull pretty similar to me (when I pull conventional, which is largely just on the platform) with a high hip start.

Always enjoy your vids.

G - I have a hard time saying PR when Ive lifted/pulled more? OR its just a PR from reps, right?
so yea 88 for 5 would be and 175 for 5, thought there was a fr sq that was a bit high not sure i count those, but i forget.

I looked at pics again, think Im just losing my mind.

Yes we do, I think about some of my ques but my mind must de-load before the pull cause it just goes to shit, not that I didnt do ok. When I watch vids I sometimes want a “do-over” but cant- pisses me off. I just want to nail it the first time! Guess we both are a bit of a perfectionist, good thing lifting we can all have our own little quirks that work for us.

I do wonder if people think, “this is same stuff you posted last week”, but figure they dont have to watch or read my log so I post it, glad to know you like it.

Hah! I used to always wonder the same about my logs, but you know what? part of logging is that its kind of a scrapbook of all your goals and your achievements, highs AND lows, you know? Its all about you! And I for one really enjoy reading your log!! So thanks

Great work on ALL your PRs! You’re super talented - keep at it!!

And YES for new title! All show ALL go!

Good pullin’ Up.

PG hahaha no kidding! He loves this stuff, so its not hard to bend his ear.

Mashy Yea Im sure ill have a few flops to write about as my numbers creep up, ill be sure to share lol

DDAY …well?? did you try the hard soles? what did you think??

I find all of the logs entertaining because it fascinates me how people approach their training, how it might differ from mine, and what I can learn froom that.
