All Show and No Go

congrats on your squat!!

Glad I can help is anyway. A while back I heard a story about a family who was in a concentration camp years ago. They were being marched to some hell hole when another person collapsed and was shot by a Nazi. The Nazi turned to the father and said “if you want to live keep moving forward, right foot left foot”. That statement has become a mantra for me and keeps me positive. You’ll see me reference right foot left a lot in my log, that’s where it came from.

I think you should change your log title to ALL GO with a great SHOW…looking good kid!

Mim yea I hear you! Waiting on your new log

Cav lol it was more of a yea for me hug then an affectionate one, like if we were both dudes we would do that jump and chest bump thing haha

Alexus yea i honestly didnt see that coming, eso when the walk out with 115 felt heavy.

dday I see you changed your log title. Ive enjoyed your vids too by the way.

old goat hope your recovering form all your rep work, i have a feeling your going to miss it, I mean there has to be a bit of a sadistic you in there so…

yesterday Training BENCH

So Bench didnt necessarily go into it wanting to get a 1 rep max.

I could have numbers messed up a bit but it went something like this: warm up

45/5 65/5 75 2x3 80 2x3 85x1 88x1 90x1 91x1 93xfail 92x1 93x1 95 fail (actually with kilos was 93.3 PR and was a LITTLE prettier than the 90PR I got before). Im sure I have the numbers messed a bit…

bench 25% increase BOOM!

then finished with chins, shoulder press.

Really good !! isn’t it a nice surprise when it just happens like that.

Any particular goals on how strong you want to get?[/quote]

Hmmm good question Cav…Id like 100# bench not sure yet on other lifts.BUT my priority is staying strong and healthy. I know I have some more strength gains to make, but theres that fine line where you are braking down your body instead of building it up.

I feel the best after training reps and I have to almost have an “out of body” experience to get through it. It seems like the movements I have a love hate relationship change my body the most. Getting through that burn almost gives you that I must be crazy to self inflict this upon myself.

100 lb bench sounds reasonable, you’re close to it!

Well not sure it was a big surprise, Ive felt my strength gaining on me. But needed to see where it was at to hammer at the reps.

Congrats on the bench PR! I like the fact that it is all about the training, being healthy, fit, feeling good etc. Numbers will come as a by product of the training and not training for the numbers! You have a great outlook on it.

Ill be sure to come say hi! Yea the reps really got your legs cut up!!

G

I made my best attempt at some conditioning. THIS is my weakest link, yea I have a few but
really need to be making more of an effort here. I think I have used the excuse i want to gain weight, but Im just going to have to watch and see whats going on with my body and adjust my eats.

I need to find my gym boss, makes the interval stuff so much easier than counting reps…

push press bar
jump rope 50, not counting ankle whips
burpees
8lb med ball —>throw into wall,floor

abz v ups with med ball, 2 sets rollouts 10 rep, toe to ceiling pulse for 25, hanging leg raise, tuff to hold up myself, arms were jello

Didnt want to much lower work with legs tomorrow.

Supposed to hit 70s again this week, will get in run, need to tune up the bike so many trails!

Ankle whips? Sounds kinky!

great squats-
love how you called them cadillacs!

nice work up!!

i get the out of body thing with 1RM’s, too. especially with squats or standing up cleans. if it doesn’t happen then there is no way on earth i’m lifting that, wah! i think it is a good thing. it is important to try real hard sometimes.

with the breaking it down vs breaking it up thing i guess part of it is to do with recovery time. i mean, we break things down in order for them to come back stronger. can’t remember where i read this… but someone asked sometime (where the latter someone knows these things) about how long they should wait before maxing their deadlift again. apparently the answer is somewhere between ‘right now’ and ‘never’. lolz. congrats on your bench progress.

KMC that would be G talking there…I said big girl plates, apparently he thinks Cadillac is a cooler term. Either way I am happy about it!!

Alexus , actually I have the outa body experiences with the longer rep sessions, so far Im not getting too heady on the 1 rep bang for your buckers.

OK so Im really liking my back, not sure its changed much from last pics but non the less it really turns me on ( it does and Im coming outa the closet to say so, so there!)

even relaxed it is just looking nice.

and some flex…
