One nice way to do ghetto t-bars is to get enought 25 or 35lb plates that you can use them instead of 45s.
Once the plates are smaller you get a much greater range of motion.
Thanks Git no problem answering for me.
E - get on the ghetto bus…thanks for the ab compliment in your log
Joe really? I want the focus on back, not to mention my arms are only so long anyway…wouldnt that just be more range of motion for the actual “pick up” ?

EDIT ok while watching again you must be talking about when you “pull up” the weight to chest.Gotcha

Excellent work on the ghetto rows, love them. You’re looking very strong. So are you going to a gym at all now or living in the basement?
“looking very strong” ----> thanks!
Ha yea I do seem to stay down there for long periods of time…
We actually may join a place here, the husbands company gives a good discount so its really good cost. I chuckled when I read they have a room just for women, lets see if they mean “real” women or they are just talking about a buncha hamsters …

Bosu balls, pink db’s and treadmills is my guess. T-women need platforms and squat racks, I love this place!!!
Maybe i should rephrase that…I just think my build wont let me get those great muscles popping like you have in your legs.SOoooo Im just hoping for some definition.humph
HA!!!
Have you seen your arms and abs???! I’m positive your legs look just as good.
You ever thought about doing a figure comp? Not sure if that’s your thing. you certainly have the base/build for it.

Good work going on in here.
Put a dbell over the end of the bbell that is stuck into the corner or wall to help keep it stationary like a 25lber.
I actually finally found good use for my yoga mat It is the non-skid type material and it stays glued in corner.
Little Strict, too funny. Ill bet your wife can show you how to do it
Dday haha your probably right, its a HUGE place though so Im sure they have racks “somewhere”. Although I think Im good to go in my basement.
Mim honestly my legs are the last to follow suit…Im patiently waiting and I realize they may never be where I want them but if they just get stronger ill be happy. Lucky for me I get the biggest charge from training. Im not beating myself up about it though, not like Im sitting around on my ass doing nothin about it.
warmed up with high pulls from rack, hang cleans practicing dropping under bar.
Squat 45/5 65/5 75/2 85/2 90/1 95/1 100/1 110/1 115/1 (belt on here) 120/1 125/double dip lol —>this is when I said I am so doing the big girl plates today! 135 1,1,2,1 vids
hip thrusts 95/10 115/10 shoulders up on bench, my hamstrings were very much done and burning.
Not all squats hit depth, when i did that 125 double dip i felt i wanted lower so I didnt even know my body was going to do that. I need to practice heavier walk outs, box squats, to dial in my depth. Also I wish I could remember who to thank i think O? she mentioned the walkouts and the bar feels the heaviest at that point, so I was going with that thought and hoped it wouldnt feel like I had a truck on my back, and it didnt!! So thank you !!! I may need to change bar height so i dont clang coming out, also I tell myself lift it up and get it steady before going back, but when i lift it up my body is like whoa ~~~ and I step right back. So definitely some things to work on. Thanks G !!
125 double dip, 135 → I had some nice depth lighter ones but youve seen those.Again I know I need to get some more depth!
Hey Up, what a day huh. If i recall the order was something like this: top set for the day that was so easy (and good depth) that you could have done 10 reps, the double dip squat, the i want the big girl plates message, the i am not sure if i am deep enough rep so i think I’ll pause this one, to the i just smacked my head really hard message, followed by the i never squatted the Cadillacs before (big girl plates) so let me try it for 2, then the that was was last set except for this 1 snuck in (135 again), to how many sets is this to which i replied at least 11, and finally any one can squats plates for the first time with a smooth set up so I’ll bang around the rack a few times during my set up to to challenge myself…Lol…you know i am teasing ya but yea that was fun.
I do hope you realize what you did today and don’t get caught up on the little things that we’ll fix. In my experience once a woman your size/weight squats the big girl plates for the first time, things really take off from there. It’s like the big monkey is off your back. So congratulations and great work today! You are probably exhausted…And btw it is only 14 training weeks ago you put the bar on your back for the first time so to speak!

I think the last set looked the best as far as sitting back and all that…woohoo, big girl plates!!!
mim I was just so freakin excited and all the clankin off the rack, just is good to know what that feels like.
on a side note, i wanted to post in your log but didnt want to be the shut it down girl.I thought your vascular knee pic (hilarious you notice that by the way) was your torso, not sure anyone else noticed. Ready for your new log.
G- Im not, but you know I want it dialed in all pretty and all, with no questioning form/depth.
My head has a nice big sore spot. I will never load the bar “under” the bar ever again.
Wow, you’re really getting some weight on your squat. Congrats!
Love your new avatar. Hmmm . . . do you realize you’re starting to get to the level other girls might consider “too much” muscle? Of course, if you’re like the rest of us, there is no such thing as too much.
Dday always things to work on, but Im not going to lie…loading the 45s for something other than DLs was a thrill all in itself.
Im not going to get into it now, but you have helped me stay positive the last few days.
Cav if you were standing here Ida probably bear hugged you!
Snap thanks girl! Im sure I dont have to tell you how it felt, even if not perfect! I can see now how a lot get wrapped up in just getting PRs and more weight but Im going to listen to G and be sure to get in the stuff that is getting me stronger for my lifts. The hard part is its physically so much harder to get in that rep work and mentally I have to be able to handle not quitting or compromising my form to make it “easier”.
