The one-arm rollouts look brutal. I should try the ab wheel. Makes me a wee bit nervous with my shoulder, though. I hear you on the abs and am thinking I just need a separate ab day like G1 did. I keep bailing on doing them at the end of my sessions.
Im glad you enjoy the vids. The feel the ab wheel a lot in lower back and yes definitely hits the shoulders, more the back delt(hopefully there is a oh wait rear delt? whatever one of em ha)
It (when done consistently) makes the abs really “pop” out. Ill add in weight on my back next week, going to one arm the load seems so heavy.Reminds me of doing the GLH on floor how just holding that resistance on the way down is working them too.
HEY… I got G doing abs separate I almost always train them separate, they deserve some one on one time!
I have some sumos thrown in training this week. Hips over bar any other tips that really stuck out to you? Im kinda nervous though thats what i was doing(trying anyway) when i heard a definite “pop” noise, that left me with no leg wo for 6 weeks, but im going in with low weight so to take it slow and see how it feels.

Training at home is looking great
nice work all around
your cleans looked very good nice job.
very good first efforts
I will not disclose how bad mine looked in the begining-
or now-
I had to learn them or be stuck for months with the dunces using a broomstick.
1 arm rollouts - do you read Ross training- hmmm
yea Im sure i mentioned somewhere about Ross training. my friend does some sic standing roll-outs on hills and shit. Honestly im just not consistent enough with abs. They tend to “take over” my body and thats all you see. kinda why i have been trying to put on weight(which I have) a little softer appearance, my body loves the “lean” look and i admire more of a body builder type or figure girl before she gets ripped.wait who am i kidding i love her look when she gets ripped too haha sorry didnt mean for this to be so long

I’m not the one to ask since I’m just learning the form myself. I will say that I’ve had top-tier sumo lifters give me conflicting advice. I truly believe that you have to switch the variables up with this lift and see what works best for you. Play around with foot width, foot angle, ass back vs. tucked under. Also, I think the descent to get the bar is a part of the lift that should not be discounted.

Lol, i sure did steal that idea from you! I’ll email you some stuff on sumo for your viewing pleasure before your sumo day.
BTW i watched your front squats/back squats on dartfish frame byframee. BEST i have seen yet! Awesome job! Also watched your clean from first day and second. You did a really nice job at making adjustments, technique is great for first few tries. Much better position on the first pull, hips really extending on the second pull! I think your really going to have the power clean dialed in quick.

G1!!! I know I spew blasphemy, but I for one am more interested in your “training for training” than in how you prepare for a meet. Please post when you can.
And Upscale is an awesome example of how great coaching can shorten the learning curve. Plus the hard work of course!
Hey PG, you mean what i do in my training just to train periods? Any thank you for the compliment (sorry Up,stole your log for 1 sec)
I hope you don’t mind me posting the dart fish vid? Thought it showed how tight your groove is getting. Tracker wasn’t squarely on bar end but was consistent throughout.

Glad you liked them! Lol. Not sure why i couldn’t get the marker to stay on the bar? But you can see how much tighter your path is!

yea i only posted the first try one, wait to i got a little more going for next one. That was first time trying to drop under it, lots to put together lol
Feel good today, whole body has that “tight” feeling. My right shoulder feels ok too. I never mentioned i fell on it 2 times this week. Once while going up the stairs in the dark half asleep, last ones went straight up these take a turn ran into the wall then fell down a few. Then the next day was moving stuff in garage and backed up into the stairs whacked the same shoulder.
I dont need self inflicted injuries, in time the weights will do it haha
Also leaning back to bench felt my abs sore all the way down past belly button, for the ladies that like that lower ab part tight I was feeling it for sure!
your powercleans look a damned sight better than mine when i first started doing them! having trouble getting them right at the moment, even, since it has been a while… your squats really are looking better all the time.

I can hardly wait to do them again! Ive been watching a video and then i practice.
Also thanks on squats! I looking forward to seeing i fi can hold it together as i approach my body weight goal.
