All Show and No Go

Good luck on the move. How will you be doing it - UHaul, moving van?

Alexus I dont have any wrist issues so far squatting, but yea, maybe because weight is light

Cav it was a corporate move so it went pretty smooth, but they must get paid by hour and or boxes because they wrap everything.

Most of house is unloaded. Kids start school this week, so things are moving along.

Got the cage set up. It feels different then the rack I always seemed to use. Will have to adjust to mat, once my feet go down they better be close cause its hard to move on mat. I also clank the bar now and then outa rack, feels like im closed in so probably have to move it out from wall some. Forgot I needed another 10 plate for squats so although I was going for a % day didnt work that way so…

squats warm up bar, 65 then 73 6x5 set up with 115 —> gosh this feels so GMs 100 2 reps and said hmmm back is done already lol so 95 3x5 still felt heavy.

sl bulg 25s 3x6 each l

circuit

walk lunge 3x8 25s
hip thrusts 115 1x12 135 1x12 felt a whole lot easier laying down (usually have shoulders on bench)
band leg curls to music didnt count reps just went for the burn, and stayed in burn mode till whimper mode then once i hit almost cry i stopped. I will feel these more and more today…

So a rusty back at it, need some more plates, and bench this week.

^^I might be being a wuss, but this sounds a bit dangerous to me. I don’t think having a rubber mat under the cage is a good idea if you can’t move your feet easily on it. If you were to stumble and not be able to move your feet you could blow out a knee or something.

It’s only my opinion mind you, but when you see nasty knee injuries in a lot of sports it’s often when the foot gets stuck in the turf and can’t move.

Maybe carpet if you want to protect the floor?

hmmm ok maybe not that bad, but Ill have to see if my feet are able to slide around next time not worth an injury! Thanks for pointing that out. When I didnt have enough weight I thought of your mega monster reps, but with all my off time decided against it, I also had a fav song on the set before that but said oh Farmer would just love this hehe (smoke a little by Eric Church)

Yay for the cage! I have horse mats on top of 2 layers of 3/4" plywood. Never had any issues on the mats, but maybe a different texture. I need to get some pics of my new garage gym up.

I got some plates off craiglist, play it again sports too.

I put down 2 layers of 3/4inch OSB over my carpet on concrete and like it a lot. just tacky enough for the feet to grip on deads.

and might I say - looking very nice in the new digs!

got the cage set up before the boxes are unpacked…LOVE IT!

Also, your squat form is really good.

Form and depth looked great.

your squats are coming along! i so wish i had a home gym…

You squats look great. You don’t even seem to be breathing hard, better get the weight up . . .

LIL YES and post that pic right here, so I can see all your toys ~~~ well you can leave out a couple ~~wink yea I got my bar weights threw craigs list and im going to play it again tomorrow to trade and play

MIM girl I know I already told you, but those legs are so purty!! and nice 2 packer

Joe Ive been working on that depth, I see box squats in my life for a long time as the weight goes up.

Alexus Im hoping as the weight goes up I can keep my ass low

Soldog why thank you, its odd how comfortable the house feels already. First time ever, and Ive had 13 or so not including the house i grew up in.

Cav well I hear you and believe me Im really wanting my Body weight squat, like yesterday but its more important to nail depth and form, which I feel im good with now.

Heres a pic from training.

training

clean/press 45/5 50/5 55/3 60 4x3 wowza ~~~

combo press behind head 4x6
chins 4x cough er um 2,1 1/2,1 1/8,1 1/8 th good lord pathetic how did i use to get a nice hanging 8? yea i was 10 lbs lighter but still.vid to show patheticness
also the chin up bar so diff then the one i normally use and i wasnt thinking "chest to bar"duh oh well.

circuit
front raise 10s
lat raise 10s
inverted row ummm yea once i got this straight like 6-8

french press 25 4x12
curls 4x10 15s

finisher was pressdowns with band

wow ok im going to go finish our closet.

EDIT and I usually cross my ankles …

So done. Cute vid.

Chins are something that are a “use-it-or-lose-it” move for me. Well, come to think about it, just about everything is. I lose muscle and strength pretty damn fast.

Curses for being a slight woman!

Gorgeous back you have. Really beauteous.

Well fuckity fuck on losing it! I did train with my son before my wo and did a 15 quick hit, before starting.I guess the chins i only counted 1 on each set cause of the momentum.Whatever can only get better. I will be so happy when my legs look as developed as back is looking.sigh.

Ive got to start eating better, still feel good but I feel amazing when i dial in my eats…
