Front squat 45/5 65/5 75/3 80/3 85 2x3 vid of 75 and 85s really tried to not rock *cough
Deads 95/5 hoped to 135 cxause i hate putting plates on stands, so 135/3 then because i cant add jumped to 155 1x3 tried 175 (wasnt the plan) and with someone chirping in my ear i shouldnt have…fail just off floor vid, then went back to 155 3x3 couple vids of that, the guy talking is talking to me, not sure why because im clearly in my zone ~~~> Dude- shut the fuck up! felt some rounding of the back.
RDL 135 3x6 if you count off the floor? last set was sketchy, first time dl ing in the shoes couldnt tell what depth or the stretch felt different.I wasnt even sure if I was supposed to DL in shoes.sigh
close stance leg press 145/3 170/3 180/2x3
single leg press UMMMM kept stripping off plates, WTF wasnt sure if it was my foot in wrong place but it was a no go, also first press with right leg felt that glute pull.
so it went 50 no 45 no 35 really? something was wrong.??dont know
moved on walking lunges 35 3x3 each leg grip on last set was iffy, but held on to them.
couldnt do combo,
leg curl 80 2x5 1x6 to end it.If we count prs for accessory work Im thinking this was one. Felt a good strong flex and drive
back ext with 25 plate behind head, whoa felt these on hammies too 3x6
overall felt good.Im learning to push through when i want to drop the weight (squats) Im ready for my gym because i will push myself and am ok with the bar and me going down.
Looks like your stance for front squats is pretty wide. Is it? When I front squat (which isn’t often anymore) I use a really narrow stance and drop straight down to the floor.

yea i normally dont sit back as far, thats the newbie in me thinking sit back for back squat.sigh. oh well. but hey i hit depth lol and last time i front squat I had the guy run over to spot me saying he thought i was going down.haha
also i should have taken off the shoes, i just wasnt fdeeling the drive threw legs/feet and should have smartened up, dumb ass, another big sigh …live and learn.

lol on Cav, ahh Cav Ive worn my hair in a bob more than not, but to have the hair brush my back and “soften” my growing lats and back, well its nice. I am at my max though.
I can only hope that this was the last showing today (34 total) supposedly getting an offer, we shall see…crosses fingers.
home work
band push downs 100 took about 10 sets of 10 give a few and minus a couple
front raise & delt work 3x12 light 8s
band face pulls hands apart when near face ~~~>first time for these
then I teased my core some doing 3 sets of planks with 25# plate
started some rollouts but my back was still a bit fagged, so I called it after the first 10
then hit some pushups and low tri holds
close grip chins, sets of 2-3 rev. and pro grip ~ whoa I need to add these in way more. Most ive ever done in a row is 8 close grip and 2 wide which was huge for me. I didnt try any wide today.
wow I look grey lol
Nice watch! (oh, and the abs look good as well)
As far as showings go, they suck. Totally disruptive. When we sold our place this spring we had 132 showings over 8 weeks. 2 offers in that time frame.
I meant to get back to your log, you mentioned posting some new pics, but you hadnt posted any…132 wow!! I thought having 30 something showings was a lot.
Hey Up, FS look good! You have a long femur so even though your hips are setting back your knee is coming out to your toes. Maybe try to force the knees apart a bit more to sit down a little straighter but really a nice job!
Your best pull was barefoot, lol. Glad you tried the shoes cause now you know for sure. Remember to pull your shoulders back a bit.
Did loose a little arch on rdl but not bad, remember to tighten abs and lock those shoulders back a bit and it will help with that low back arch.
Guy talking to himself about bands was way too funny, then “have a good workout” lmao.
SL press are tough, not surprized you had to lighten up quite a bit. Things will be much easier this week, been a few weeks since you had lifted heavy so awesome job getting back going.

I love that you are not a cookie cutter trainer.
Yea my back was tired going into the RDLs.
I feel so lean today, got on scale and was 120 again, you said you think ill end at 123 124, which I couldnt imagine but think you are right. I have always wanted to be in the 120s !!! Well 120s and still have a little bit of abz. Im feeling so good!!

On the subject of shoes, I front squat in my O shoes and it makes a big difference. The last time I tried wearing chucks, I didn’t feel nearly as strong or upright. I think the heel helps for me. Also like Snap, I’m pretty narrow on them. They’re a nice break for the hips.

Not at all. You are doing great. Sorry to always seem such the critic.
Certainly didnt take it as a critique, more of an observation. Its funny cause when I trained with Germanone he could see leg length versus whatever it is he looks for and then train accordingly. Or know why i do a certain thing. That stuff is way cool to me.
I should have taken off the shoes and would have been like “oh yea this feels better”.
Also i did get on and look at your squat video, and bar placement. I may not play around with it much till my rack. I also read G said the weight feels
lighter" to him with the bar lower ----> this made me definitely want to get it lower haha

yea I guess I spaced the foot placement, this isnt a habit ,yet. I thought it just felt different because I was wearing the shoes. I havent had any tightness the last few leg workouts sinse getting the oly shoes! that is a win right there for me. last time 85 felt ridiculously heavy and i was belted.

Upscale your front squats look good- very good elbows good height
your legs are long - german has a very sharp eye
do your ankles feel tight when you FS?
just curious not a crituque
ps you need foot stomps.
My ankles never feel anything.
I could probably use a few training tics of my own (yea yours is a tic, but a cool one) I have a feeling being out of the gyms eye and heavier weights they are sure to come out. It was good to watch that one pull where the guy is talking away about the bands (I actually mumbled i needed a “stand” for my phone) and I held my concentration.

Lol, i have had to work with people from 4’7 to 7’1, seriously, i have learned tons from all those different bodies and am still learning. Awesome on the weight, and abz are stellar. I think you’ll hit that 123 mark and will actually lean out more in the next year. Those few extra pounds are going to do wonders for your strength.
Got with PT friend yesterday and he spent about 45 min on hip. He is an outstanding pt, selfishly he probably won’t be around too many more years. He is young and is looking at a spot on pro staffs, turned down a few offers as they just weren’t quite right for him. But he got my hip right for the moment. I’ll see him fri/mon, chiro fri and massage next tues. All i can do, but it’ll will be fine one way or another.
