Heavier. You’re still not near your max. No way.

Good job, BTW.[/quote]

Snap - you are tuff!! I couldnt get the weight off the ground before, I think dialing in my form may have helped along with some back strength. I didnt even feel a twinge in my back after the deads that day.I think that is a good sign?

I havent done the 1 rep max, although most lifts I think I know where i am at.Key word think.
As far as a meet goes, i am clueless about it. Not to mention i dont have any respectable numbers yet.

I was out of town and only got in a run and some ab work. A pathetic run at that. My husband kicked my butt.
Not sure why I can push myself to the limits on weights but not cardio, i give in way too soon.
I will definitely be working in some conditioning work, I really need it.

This week will be a un-load week and I am ready for it. Its going to get a bit crazy here, winding down with work and moving. Im going to really need to be organized so i can get everything knocked off my list.

OHHH and I got my squat shoes today. Im not sure why i thought they would feel so “different”, but they were nice. Seems like less pressure on my hips. I gave them a test run, trying to sit back in them etc. Im not expecting miracles but i think once i get it all dialed in they are going to be so sweet.

This is a good week to play around with the shoes since it is a lighter week. Maybe set up your box at home and practice with just a bar. I like setting up the box so you can actually sit on it for a few seconds, adjust your feet if needed (closer/wider/flair toes etc) and find a position that you can stand up with ease, kind of like squatting from the bottom up. Not sure if it will help or not.

Sorry, yes wear them this week, good time to get used to them with the lighter weights.

Are they Oly shoes? Or PLing squat shoes?

I only say that you’re not near your DL max because the pull is so smooth. No serious strain or stalls. Usually those are a good indicator that you’re about maxed. And I didn’t see either.

lolo I just posted in your log ~~ ummm hehe I dont know ? Told you Im clueless they are the Nike Romaleos

Training UNLOAD WEEK

So I slipped on the new feet and I love how they feel so sturdy. I can tell a difference in my hips not feeling as tight, not sure why.(see clueless comment above lol)

I was bummed not to get vid there, a guy was taking 4 ever doing 1/8th squats with a full bar of plates, it seriously was killing me. Bendy guy was also there but he must be having a un-load of sorts week too, cause he was not entertaining or distracting.(well i was focusing so maybe he was)

Squats 45/5 65/5 75/2x5 work technique/depth —> felt real good and low so at least i am confident was below parallel

good mornings 65/8 90/8

leg press squat stance 160/8 180/8 yea yea supposed to be 175 but 2 plates is way easier

single leg bulg back leg up 20/2x8 each leg —> feels smooth low and easy

combo lunge in place 20/3x8
leg curls 60 3x8
back ext 15 behind 3x8

I see it was supposed to be 2x8 for all, i guess Im so used to 3 didnt even read that.

I am enjoying this lighter weight, I can tell Ive been pushing really hard and am in need of the un-load.

thats it.

EDIT: Im going with OLY shoes…

Those shoes are really sturdy. One of the things i really liked about them when i tried them on. You really did need an un-load, enjoy!

Yup needed this.BUT Im not sure if it was all the “practice’” work or what ~~~ legs are killing me today!

maybe it’s just me, but legs aren’t supposed to kill you during an un-load???

…I know, its weird cause I havent had much Doms at all after the tuff leg days so after this one, which Id consider easy is surprising. The practice work with new shoes was with 65#s so not big weight there either.

i think… though i could be wrong… that the shoes take some of the tension off your hip flexors. by shifting your weight forwards slightly (because of the raised heel) your hip flexors don’t need to work so hard to prevent you canning on your ass.

i need to work the box squats, too…

glad to hear you like your shoes

Maybe stay with an empty bar on technique work. The shoes are going to shift you a bit and increase depth so it’ll take a few workouts to get used to them and the different focus on your legs.

Shoes all around!

those pulls looked easy.
nice work.

you are very natural at this.

No Alexus defintely takes it off the hip flexors for me. I really need to so even more mob. work on them. I tell ya my hams and glutes were hit harder for sure!

Maybe G has taught me his composure while lifting, and i edit out my growling haha

or sadly maybe Im not pulling enough weight.

Natural ? Well it feels right. I do get the biggest charge out of this stuff!

Todays de-load

do de doo

warm up

bench 45/5 55/5 65/3x5

db shoulder press 20/2x8 ----> not do de doo on these

T-bar row 50/3x8

DB incline 25/2x8

combo

db tri 10 2x12
db curl 15 2x15
db row 30/2x12
lat raise 102x12 ----> 12 feels like 4-evar

done, yawn  no creatine needed for this lol

Lol, you are a natural! I know you can pull more but i really think your approach is perfect. You are sticking to the plan, giving yourself time to get stronger and taking the gains as they come. Many people get antsy and get away from what makes them strong and try to max all the time. End up beat up and hurt.

Oh ya forgot. No creatine until the next week of lifting starts

hmm, creatine…

what has your experience been with it?
