All Show and No Go

thanks guys

Training…love sunday at gym, dont have to wait for a thing

warm up

front squat 45/8 55/6 65/5 75/3x5(3 min rest) last set really worked to keep chest up elbows up

Leg press narrow stance 100/5 120/5 140/5 160/5

reg stance 160/5 170/5 180/5 after 8s I can do anything for 5

walking lunges 30/4x5 each leg walked across gym with the 30s which is good cause im working on my grip but…helped me burn and crash during combo lol

Combo 2 min rest between rounds

split squat 30 3x5 25/1x5 1st 2 sets were good but on the third set i knew i wasnt holding the db so i used straps but didnt get left one tight enough so it also slid to fingertips and last rep i almost wiped out coming up from bottom and weights went flying, composed myself and finished last set with 25s and no straps. 2nd set of 30s …why not use barbell? well ill never get this grip thing stronger.maybe farmer walks???

RDL 95 3x6 last set that forearm pump was ginormous and i barely held onto it.I hate sneaking the damn chalk, next gym will be one that allows it.

2nd combo 2 min r

back ext 20/3x8

leg curls 60/3x6

I crawled outa da gym today. Busted ass!! >3

I had a lazy day …could have gone to the pool but the deck was just right.[/quote]

That’s funny, when I post my topless sunbathing photos they always get pulled by the Mods!

…Im thinking it has more to do with the “tight” shinny shorts

<-----Well, you just picked up creepy stalker with a foot fetish!

I usually just hang in PW, but now I’ll have to come over here. You are looking curvy and so tone in that sunbathing pic up there. Nice glute and ham development. I’m liking the walking lunges and Bulgarian splits, too. So hard, but they do seem to bubble things up. Looking forward to following your log!

Have you ever considered this? Eco Ball Compact, ultra-discreet, not very messy. Definitely not as hardcore as real chalk though.

Farmer’s walks are great for working grip strength; hanging from a bar for time could also help; putting FatGripZ on the dumbbells/barbell for accessory exercises (more stuff to lug to the gym though). I personally don’t use straps, but there is a point of view that says if the exercise you’re doing is not to work the grip, then the grip should not be the limiting factor in the exercise (i.e. use straps if you need to).

Busted…darn. Lol.

Nothing wrong with the good ol’ “Damn, that’s HAWT!”, but imo a little subtlety shows true depth of appreciation.

Thanks girl, the bulg. are still my toughest, that deep drill in the hole and up everything is working, but I know they have to be doing something good!!

Stalking? pfft wouldnt know a thing about that…glad to have you.

Punny well considering your usually not so subtle, good job !

No I havent seen that.Ill continue to sneak for now, but next place i find i hope i can use it.Do you use the one in link?

I use this. Eco Ball

Rock climbers use it because it doesn’t really show up on rock faces so its a lot less noticable than regular chalk.

I keep it in a big zip lock bag in my gym bag and just put my hands inside it when I’m ready to pull. Lifting form is looking really good.

thanks guys! ill check that block out.

training today Upper

warm up- love doing inchworms hitting low enough to bump the bottom, yes Snap with a sports bra on I can get close too - wink

Its monday and the gym was full! this is how it went:

Incline BENCH 45/8 55/5 60/5 65/5 70/5 Its a little harder to rack up when im on the incline seems higher? but i got it.

DB BENCH 25/5 30/5 —> arms didnt always come up together but the both made it to the top ha

PUSH PRESS 45/5 50/5 55/4x3

Narrow grip Bench 55/5 65/3x5 —>felt good.

Tbar row 40/4x8 one set got 7 but with my counting it was probably 9 lol the music was humming and i was in a zone.Had a nice pause and squeeze at the top, felt a tight arch.

combo
lat raise alt 15 arms more bent, then into arms straight out with slight bend with 10
bi curl 15s combo was 4x8 although was 10 on delts.

finished at gym with a set of inch worms 1x8, drove home and did some chin ups

started with a couple wide grip overhand(pronated grip?)with a pause on bottom(definitely my hardest to do, most ive ever done is 2 together overhand, then 2, 2, 1,1,1 rest 1,1,1,1 collapse ----> how did i get 8 in a row not that long ago? grrrrr, must work on these.

I probably did them when i was fresh.

Had to double fist my shake after this !

I was supposed to do French Press rack , but for the life of me I wasnt understanding it.
vid anyone? Ill probably watch and feel dumb cause i know it? I guess I can google it duh!

Plate Pushes I WAS going to alternate the 25# and 50# I actually started off that way…
Until i smashed my thumb between the plates got mad at myself and topped off the 50 with the 35# plate. That 85# grabs the floor and its crazy hard. I played around with this for about 30 min.

abs- havent felt like directly training abs, so I kept it short.kneeling ab wheel rollouts, 3x10, hanging leg raises haha this made me think of leg day my eyes kept getting drawn to the “Roman chair”…i still have yet to see if anything happens.haha
anyway back to abs um hanging leg raise 2x18, legs out Ls 2x 15 vups 10# didnt count just would do reps till the burn was kinda bad then take a brake then suffer again.Back started getting tired holding the tight arch so I called it!

Lifting looking great UP.

What are inchworms?, I can’t even hazard a guess!

from standing you walk your arms out till your in a pushup position and i do one and walk my hands back…gives me a good stretch and warm up, wide, reg and then tricep presses

not sure if true inchworms have you doing a pushup but i like it that way…

Let me just say the over 35 gang is kicking ass!! Funny how a lot of guys have animals as avis…

Training with Germanome

warm up

SQUAT 45/10 55/8 70/5 85/4x5(3 min rest) ok so one was 6—>guess i had more in me

CONV.DEADS 95/5 105/5 115/5 125/5 135/2

Good mornings 65 2x5

back ext 20 behind head 3x8
leg curls 60 3x8 → chinged it up to 70 to see if i was ready got 3 good form —>back to 60

thats all i had.

Squats and deads

Squats worked on firing outa the hole, it is great having him que me.For the most part i held my own, knees shot forward a couple times coming up.Resetting is key for me.

Deads having it set up on the little low stand was perfect brought it almost to the 45 plate, slight pain in the ass not missing the stands though.I just have to get stronger so I dont have to deal with them much.
He wants me a little more aggresive(which I am getting better at)…at home I get a little more fired up, with a gym full I have to clear my mind and just think about the pull. Maybe incorporating the foot stomp would get my head straight lol. Really pulling the bar in after my knees and his cue of where to look and eye going up making my shoulders pull back was great.

I so missed doing deads, im really excited to be doing them again.
My favorite pull for sure!!!

BENCH w/ G fun fun!!

Vids of deads and squat once i get em uploaded.

Snap has taught me form that fixed my dead (and stopped some nagging pain). The whole pound for pound thing. Showed my daughter what a real female powerbuilder, that totally destroyed the funny ideas that go around in the culture. My SO has also traded reps for weight and that has eliminated tendon issues…

You’re work out suggest an intensity. This has showed me I have let slide impairing my progress…

MsStrick is down right inspirational. And her progress just brings more progress…

It’s not just the ladies, but the ladies have a different way of writing that I seem to pick up stuff. example the belt conversation… Never considered a belt… But lower back does get sore from heavy dead’s, so maybe its time?

There’s a lot of people here that well, show me the way in areas that I need it. Such as Canada_K and GitterDone’s discipline in the kitchen…
PeteS shows what’s possible to lift.
SolDog’s perseverance when life (and work) throws you curves.
Harry sure knows how to live.
Old_Nurse’s killer work schedule doesn’t stop him!

Certain I’ve missed a bunch, it’s a great bunch of people…

oh, the ladies also teach me humility.
Pound for pound you out lift me, and with a better body comp.!

Thanks on behalf of the ladies. Thats what is so cool about this group we are getting older but we are driven, well i know I am. Thanks for putting the effort into your answer also!

This was another great couple training days with Germanome, only wish i had more energy to keep going and soak up all he says. i love that he doesnt overwhelm me with the 10 things i need to work on and throws out just a couple at a time. i play the vids over in my mind and try to correct the arms being slack in set up for deads and my shoulders in squats he said a couple things that helped get the point across.

The bench vids went 75/80/75 the vid is the 80 first and then the last set of 75, amazing his ques really helped me(and yea maybe the -5 too haha) but its so humbling to train with him, not only is he so humble but his form is so smooth and effortless, as you all see. What you dont see is his stiffness haha so he is really pushing me to roll out my muscles etc so I dont get all stiff like him.

I can so relate to Alexus and I am very much like her in the sense that I dont usually do anything that i dont pick up super fast and or are really good at. This is something Im doing that i have improvements to make and Im not perfect but i dont care. it just makes me want to work harder to nail it.Im really happy with the improvements Ive made. My muscles are responding and its super exciting.

My daughter gave me a “gross” when I came in and flexed my back for her, so of coarse I made her take a pic.haha. Im sure the lighting is a little tricked out making it appear better but either way the pic is so sweet to me!
