this is why assholes like me start poking fun at powerlifting, because fake ass records like this are being set.
yeah i already know 1200 lb is alot to have on your back. but powerlifting is not about who can hold the most weight it’s about who can lift the most weight (it is supposed to be anyway)
the monolift should taken out of all competitions so should the judges that gave this guy white lights. i can’t be the only one who is disgusted by this. if i am i feel sorry for the future of the sport.[/quote]
In spite of your careful fact checking and in-depth experience in powerlifting , I think you are barking up the wrong fucking tree, McGruff. Jeff Lewis’s 1212 was a good squat. I have seen it from several angles- including the front-shot video where we are treated the sight of Jeff’s hideous, cellulite-laden, inner-thighs breaking parallel. A little background- Jeff is a consistent lifter who has competed at a nationl/world level for many years under USPF, APF, and yes- even the anal-retentive USAPL, and IPF judging. While Jeff is not the vision of fitness that many would aspire to- make no mistake, he is one of the strongest human beings around- gear or not.

I have been avoiding these posts like syphillis but I gotta say this is funny.
On one hand you have a guy who has never even been to a meet and who apparently has ZERO competitive experience outside of racket sports running his mouth for pages and pages simultaneously on more than one post in regards to his ‘thoughts’ on gear.
On the otherhand we have somebody alleging years of experience who has literally gone out of their way to find lifts that have already been beaten to death in the PL community, to the point everybody is just tired of hearing about them and there is already a general consensus formed, using them to bolster his opinion.
From one extreme to another and still not a fucking thing accomplished.

how can i see another angle of this squat, anyone have a link? i will gladly retract my comments if i could be proven wrong. i will never retract the monolift thing though.never.
There was a video out there from this angle- but it is no longer up. I hate to call depth from a front shot- a still no less, but I can’t imagine calling this a chopped squat.
